The low hum of my engine running was the only thing keeping me sane. The heater blasting from the air vents and right onto my skin made it harder for me to get out of my car and walk into Sinner's trap.

Who knew what I was going to get myself into when I spoke to Declan about Sebastian. Either he would act like a fucking idiot or gaslight me into thinking something I knew wasn't true.

I looked at the clock. It was past eight. I had my shift at Eagles club at nine. Which gave me less than an hour to get in and out of there.

I turned my car off, putting my keys into my trench coat before I got out and shut my door. The cold wind caught in my hair, shivers running down my body. You could see my breath everytime my lungs expanded out the cold air. The back parking lot was barely lit up, the only glow coming from the red Sinner's trap sign they had hung on the building.

All the way to my left were three men smoking. They were all dressed casual, but from here I could tell they were men I would stay away from. Two of them had red hair. I'd never seen them before but I could only guess they were Corrollo's I've just never met. They looked Irish through and through and to be fair I never remembered which cousins I've met.

I walked to the back door, ignoring their lingering gazes as I stepped in puddles of water from it raining all day. I could already tell from the lightness of the sky that a storm was coming.

It smelt like pure cigarettes the second I stepped inside the club and let the door close behind me. The hallway was dark, a light glow coming from the main area which was only filled with a couple of men. It would get busy later though, once the rest of the girls came and all services were up and running. Sinner's trap was far from a boring club. A sketchy one, but the men loved the women and the drugs that were constantly being handed around.

Nonetheless the energy felt like death. I hadn't felt the hollowness inside my chest for a long time until now, working in Eagles club for so long I grew accustomed to the light energy and safeness of Alessio's club.

It wasn't safe here.

I took in a deep breath as I walked further down the hall, male voices coming from the room to the left. I slowed my steps, making sure my heeled boots wouldn't make noise.

"And the rumors?" Alpha's voice came loud and clear through the half closed door. I clutched the dice in my coat pocket, feeling the numbers on them and repeating in my head what my mother always told me to repeat.

"I don't know, father. Isla texted to meet and I'm guessing it's about Sebastian. Varo said that they saw him walking into Bertelli's casino. She was there-"

"She didn't blow her cover?" Sean butted in. He sounded amused by the whole situation.

Declan laughed, "No. She knows better. It's not like she'll run back to her brother when we are her family now."
