chapter 12

Gaunt residence

An alarm clock goes off as the screen shows an alarm clock with the time 8:30am  on it. The sound of mumbling is head as the camera shows Ryan waking up with Mia still asleep next to him. Ryan stretches being careful of Mia whos in his arms as he unwraps himself from her and looks at the alarm clock before his eyes widen and he shoots out of bed accidentally sending Mia off it. Mia wakes with a groan "what the hell?" she grumbled before seeing Ryan at the end of the bed rummaging through his bag "what are you doing?" she groans.

"School has already started and we are late" Ryan said freaking out slightly causing Mia to look at the clock.

"hmm, oh yeah." she says lazily before finally getting up off the floor. 

Ryan rushes over to Mia and shoves the pair of clothes he grabbed out for her into her arms

"if we hurry we can make it before 2nd period." he said taking his pajama bottoms off before pausing realising he was still in Mia's room with her. 

girls and even some guys in the great hall begin to drool seeing Ryan in his boxers causing Mia to glare at all of them that looked his way meanwhile Ryan blushed with a groan and hid his face in Mia's hair in embarrassment. "so embarrassing" he grumbled causing Mia to laugh slightly. 

"well that's a nice view" she joked seeing him in his boxers as she leaves the room to go to the bathroom attached to her room to get ready. 

A few minutes later 

Mia comes out of the bathroom and Ryan is bouncing on his feet nervously.

"Finally." he says grabbing her hand and taking her down the stairs and towards the front door but she quickly pulls her hand out of his as they are about to pass the Kitchen causing him to pause as she rushes in to the kitchen and grabs two apples and rushing back out placing one apple in his hand and her hand in the other.

"we can go now." is all she says causing him to shake his head in amusement as they left the house and started walking to school.

Hawkins middle school

Books slam on the table as we see Lucas , Dustin and other kids getting in their seats putting their backpacks on the back of their chairs as Dustin pauses  "oh, this is weird. He's never this late"  Dustin says looking at Mike's seat.

"I'm telling you, his stupid plan failed" Lucas deadpanned

"i thought u liked his plan."  Dustin stated 

"Yeah, but obviously it was stupid, or he'd be here" Lucas sassed

"if his mom found out a girl spent the night--"

"i would have been fine with it if i you told me and explained why. i only would have been mad about you sneaking out" karen said giving the boys a pointed look to which they all gave her sheepish smiles.

"sorry mom"

"He's in deep shit right about now" Lucas said before Dustin jumped up with a idea

"hey, what if she slept naked" he said as if it was the answer to all of their problems.

Lucas sighed before saying "oh my god, she didn't" with an annoyed tone.

"Oh, if Mrs wheeler tells my parents..." Dustin put a hand to his head in stress.

"No way. Mike would never rat us out ." Lucas said with certainty.

"I dont know." dustin said unsure 

"all that matters is, after school, the freak will be back in the loony bin and we can focus on what really matters, finding will" Lucas said confidently before opening up his textbook leaving dusin to turn to his still unsure.
