A Fawn's journey through Hogwarts (Fem Harri)

Prolouge

31st of July 1980

To those outside of the Wizarding world the day was just any other muggle day, but to those in the wizarding world little did they know that today was the day that their future saviour would be born. In the hospital wing of Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, new parents Lily and James Potter were in the middle of the birth of their child. Lily was in the middle of delivering her baby she was screaming while the midwife Madam Pomfrey and a nurse from St Mungos were talking her through it "alright I have the head Mrs Potter I'm gonna need one more big push" Lily shook her head "no I can't, but can't do this" she was in tears while the nurse gently soothes her "you can Lily, you've done a good job so far just one more push and then you can meet little Harry. Now just one more big push" Lilly takes a big breath in with a blood curtailing scream she gives one final push.

Outside the room were the remaining friends currently holding back James Potter from storming into the room. "Let me go, I need to be with my Lily flower" "Come off it, Prongs mate we were told to stay out here" Sirius who was holding his friend's right arm said but the words went in one ear and out the other with James. "I need to see my child" he gasps and Remus groaned as the taller man was nearly pulling his friend's arm out of his sleeve "poppy said she skewer you if you went in before she said we could", two more groans sound out revealing their smaller friends Peter and Mary standing before them and pushing back until Peter was struck with a thought "hold on why don't we just turn him frozen solid?" His question was left unanswered as the entire group was thrown back as the doors were pushed open "IT'S A GIRL" Pomfrey cheered and before she could let them through James was up and running followed by Mary, Sirius, Remus and finally Peter, however before they got to the bed that was surrounded by curtains the nurse stopped them "the father may go in first and have a few minutes alone with the mother and child and then you all may come in" the group let James go through, Remus put his arms around Sirius to make sure he wouldn't follow.

The first thing James saw as he walked in was Lily sitting up in bed with their new daughter feeding, he could feel a large smile take over his face as he watched. "Are you gonna come over? And meet your daughter?" Lily interrupted his daydream making him chuckle as he walked closer to them, "did you wanna hold her?" Lily asked fixing herself up after her daughter finished feeding, James nodded and carefully took the baby out of Lily's hands "so I guess Harold is out of the question now, shame I liked the name Harry" he jokes and Lily corrects him "perhaps not a Harold but Harriet is still a nice name" James slowly rocks Harriet as he softly announces "Harriet Lily Potter, it's -what is it?" He asks, noticing his wife's face scrunching up "it's just I know you were hoping for a son," "Lily that doesn't mean anything ",please let me speak. I know we didn't really plan for her and with everything going on with you know who and our jobs being really dangerous it's not really safe for kids, what I'm saying James is that I want her middle name to be James since that's what the plan was and I just want you to be happy" Lily finished her explanation.

James carefully leaned down and lovingly kisses her lips, the kiss is interrupted by their new daughter cooing, both parents looked down as Harriet opened her eyes revealing the familiar green "she's gonna be so beautiful, she'll grow up to look like you" James adores "more like she's gonna look like you, I can already tell she's gonna be a terror like her father" Lily jokes "hey I remember you laughing at a few of my pranks don't lie'' the couple couldn't help but laugh which in turn got their baby laughing. After a few seconds James speaks again "look how about we both put our names down that way she can still have our names to remember us .... Incase anything happens" before Lily could agree with that, their moment was interrupted this time by their friends. "Okay you've had enough time with the little fawn but it's time she meets her godfather" Sirius wasted no time going to stand over Jame's shoulder to look down at Harriet "I'm really sorry I couldn't stop him" Remus huffs out before laying a hand on his stomach, obviously Sirius had to fight his way out "it's alright Moony you can all meet her now" James eases the taller man's worries as the others all join around Lily's hospital bed "alright everyone I would like you to meet Harriet Lily-James Potter'' he announces letting everyone see the new baby.
