"What?! When did you find out?"

Mirae asked Logan on the phone as she put on her shoes to go to the person she was talking to.

"Just a few minutes earlier. I really can't believe Cheon Seojin killed her."

Logan said to Mirae.

"Same like what kind of sick person would do something like that? How could you willingly murder the person who almost gave her life to save your daughter? Cheon Seojin is one twisted woman."

Mirae said to Logan who agreed with her. After saying good bye the two ended the call knowing Mirae was about to come visit anyway.

"Hello"

Mirae said as soon as she entered the house the adults were staying in her hands filled with lunchboxes she had asked Maid Choi to prepare.

"What did you bring?"

Eun Sook asked her daughter seeing the bags in her hands.

"Food, I'm sure all of you are not eating thinking taking revenge is way important than eating so I brought food and I'll make sure each and every one you eats, especially you Logan, it seems like you've forgotten that you nearly died and need to take better care of yourself."

Mirae said as Logan rolled his eyes at her comment and walked closer to her trying to peek at what she had brought.

"There's a lunch box for each of you come and eat all of you, Ms. Suryeon and Dr. Ha you both as well"

Mirae continued taking out the boxes and setting them with utensils on each side for the adults to eat.

"Thank you Kim Mirae"

Dr. Ha smiled at the girl who smiled back widely.

"I've asked Seokhoon to bring Rona over, she needs to know the truth regardless of how much it will hurt her"

Shim Suryeon said to everyone while opening her lunch box. As the adults continued to talk Mirae went to sit in the living room and started scrolling through tiktok to entertain herself. After some time all the grownups came to sit in the living room waiting for Rona and Seokhoon to come.

"By the way, I still haven't asked you how is it with Ms. Suryeon?"

Mirae cheekily asked Logan quietly as they all waited.

"I don't really our relationship concerns you in anyway"

Logan replied with a straight face.

"So you can pry in my relationship but I can't even ask about yours?"

Mirae complained pursing her lips.

"I am worried you might end up with the wrong person, that's why I meddled"

"Well I'm also worried for you"

"Are you? Are you really? Or do you just want to hear how cute our love story is and imagine it as a drama"

"No I'm worried"

Mirae lied she wondered how Logan knew she looked at other couples and listened to their stories just to create a cute drama in her head.

"Well you dated her son, I really don't think yo should be worried"

Logan shrugged.

"You saying that just made me realize something. I might actually be glad that I broke up with Seokhoon, you could have been my father in law uggghhh"

Mirae cringed.

"Ok you two let's leave Rona's here and I think its best she finds out with not all of you sitting here and watching her like an animal in a zoo"

Eun Sook said to the two kicking them out of the room. Mirae quickly got up to leave wanting to avoid seeing Seokhoon.

Mirae knew exactly when the talk with Rona ended as she watched the girl leave the house her face tear streaked. Mirae believed right now was one of those times when she knew the person needed some alone time rather than having someone tell them that its okay or it's not a big deal no one wants to hear that kind of stuff after hearing who murdered their mother.

But at the end of the day she knew she needed to make sure Rona knew she was there for her and that's how she ended up sending Rona a single short message.

Whenever you're free let's get milkshakes together.

Things had gotten very complicated and Mirae knew it was all her mother, Suryeon and Logan's doing. Things seemed to be coming out the way they had exactly wanted it to turn out.

At night after the day where Joo Dan Tae was announced a runaway criminal and all the police was looking for him Mirae received a call from Seokyung. Surprised Mirae received the call.

"Hello?"

Mirae asked tentatively.

"Mirae listen I'm going after my father or not my father or whatever he is now, he's about to run away somewhere I'm going to follow him and see where he ends up. Don't tell anyone ok. If Seokhoon asks don't you dare fall into his charm and tell him everything"

Seokyung said quickly.

"What? What do you mean? And why are you telling me all this? I'm kind of confused here Seokyung"

"I know if I don't tell you you'll be crazy worried so I'm doing you a little favor. I'll be back safe don't worry and just trust me ok"

Seokyung said before ending the call and leaving Mirae shocked. Not knowing what to do all Mirae simply hoped that Seokyung comes back safe and sound and that Seokhoon doesn't ask her anything because it'll be very hard for her to not tell him anything even if she knew everything.
