Is this Forever?

Chapter 14

Things were not looking good so far. Not only was oh Yoon hee still not found but there were multiple rumors that had started about what had actually happened. Mirae sighed as she read one more report about how Oh Yoon hee was the one who kidnapped Eunbyeol wanting to take revenge on her.

"Its awful to see people buying this story as if it was true. I hate it when rich people make sure they get their own way and can do the dirtiest things just so their reputation doesn't get harmed in front of the public"

Mirae said to Seokhoon who was sitting on Mirae's bed also reading the articles.

"They're also saying she ran away and hid after doing that"

Seokhoon shook his head clearly upset about what was happening.

"I really hope that Rona doesn't read all this"

Mirae said as she continued to pace back and forth the room nervously. Rona hadn't talked to the two since yesterday and after she hadn't replied to Mirae's texts Mirae decided that maybe she might need some time to herself.

Things continued to get worse after Ms. Jin arranged a press conference to come clean about what actually happened. The only problem about this conference was that what Ms. Jin was saying did not actually happen even though she claimed it did but only the few people knew she was wrong and the rest of the public believed the story and continued to post news articles about the false story.

After receiving a call from her mother that the team had found Oh Yoon Hee's body, Mirae and Seokhoon ran to get Rona and go with her. The last thing Mirae wanted was Rona to go alone. Mirae gulped down her tears when the three entered the room where Oh Yoon Hee's body was laid.

"Mirae ah she looks so cold right, I should give her my jacket and make sure she's feeling fine"

Rona said to Mirae taking off her jacket. It broke Mirae more to see Rona not believing and being in denial. She knew this was hard and waned to be there for her friend. But nothing came to her mind. She didn't know what to say to the girl and all she could do was hug her to remind Rona that she was there for her.

Once Shim Suryeon and her mother came as well Mirae patted Rona's back who was still on the ground softly crying. To Mirae it was all déjà vu again. She remembered how she was by Seokyungs side the time when they thought Suryeon was dead. This scared Mirae even more. How many more people would leave her and her friends? What if her mother was next? Mirae knew it was selfish to think about this right now but all she wanted to do was go to her mother and tell her that maybe the two should leave Hera Palace. The place was a house of bad luck and Mirae did not want the bad luck to come towards her family.

Mirae and Eun Sook were standing behind Seokhoon and Suryeon waiting for their turn to pay their respects to deceased at Oh Yoon Hees funeral when the four heard a slight commotion outside. Mirae recognized the voice of the reporters before they could enter the room and quickly rushed towards Rona knowing those news reporters were probably here to question her. Once they came in Suryeon joined her and stood in front of Rona telling the reporters to go away and that a funeral wasn't a place to just barge in and ask questions.

But once the reporters spotted 'Min Seol Ah's mother' they forgot all about Rona and turned to question her about Oh Yoon Hee.

"Seokhoon, Mirae take Rona out"

Eun Sook shouted to the kids as she pushed the reporters away from her best friend. Seokhoon at once started pushing the reporters to make way but the reporters were stubborn and somehow Rona was pushed to the floor. Mirae crouched down to her asking if she was fine and that's when all hell broke loose. Jenny, Minhyuk and their mothers all came in and started hitting the repoters with whatever they found.

Once Mirae reached home she fell straight on her bed and got lost in her thoughts. She wanted to stay at the funeral house with Rona but Rona insisted that she went home and that she wanted to stay alone for some time so Mirae agreed. Mirae closed her eyes for a minute when her phone started ringing.

"Is everything alright?"

Mirae asked her boyfriend as soon as she picked up the phone, worried that he had called her to tell her about something worse.

"Everythings alright or maybe it's not, eomma just told Seokyung to leave the house."

Seokhoon said sighing.

"Why what happened?"

Mirae asked wondering what happened that made Shim Suryeon that angry to tell Seokyung to leave the house.

"Do you want to come over at my place? We could watch a movie"

Mirae said knowing he would be upset but would never tell her. Seokhoon agreed and an hour or two later Mirae was snuggled in Seokhoons arms fast asleep trying to forget all the problems for a night.

"Congratulations"

Mirae said to Minhyuk as the two sat in a milkshake place celebrating Minhyuk getting into SNU.

"Why does it sound like you don't mean it?"

Minhyuk asked Mirae playfully glaring at her.

"No I mean it, it's just a very confusing time my minds not in the right place so it might sound like that."

Mirae said sighing.

"It's fine I understand."

"Well you are the only Hera Palace kid to get in so it's a big thing"

"I'm not"

"What? What do you mean?"

"Eunbyeol got in as well after everything that just happened"

"Wowww"

Mirae said clearly not expecting this.

"Anyways do you think Jenny would be happy for me?"

"You really seem to like her?"

Mirae said smirking at Minhyuk getting ready to tease him. But Minhyuk knew what she was going to do and jut got up and started to walk out leaving Mirae to pay the bill an run after him so they would go back together.
