Chapter 21

"I can't believe Ms. Seojin actually had the audacity to send reporters outside her house"

Jenny said to Mirae as the two sat down in the Hera Palace lobby.

"She really thinks fighting with a young girl will make her more powerful. That woman is one insecure woman trust me"

Mirae rolled her eyes. Jenny nodded agreeing with the girl.

"Where is Bae Rona though?"

Mirae asked Jenny.

"I don't know she said she had something to do and left, I hope she doesn't do something reckless"

Jenny sighed leaning back. Mirae was about to say something when her phone started ringing.

"Why does Seokhoon still call you all the time?"

Jenny asked scrunching her nose after seeing who called Mirae. Mirae shrugged before picking up the call.

"Hello?"

"Kim Mirae I'm about to ask you something and don't you dare lie to me"

Seokhoons urgent voice came from the other end startling Mirae.

"Well it depends on what you ask"

Mirae replied. She knew Seokhoon was probably shaking his head after her response but chose to ignore this useless information.

"Do you know where Seokyung is?"

Seokhoon asked Mirae who really didn't know how to reply to this question.

"Why? Isn't she at the hotel room you got her?"

Mirae tried to take some time before actually replying.

"Nope she checked out from there, did she tell you where she went?"

"Why would she tell me?'

"Kim Mirae, tell me where she is"

Seokhoon said. Mirae wasn't the only one who knew Seokhoon like the back of her hand, Seokhoon also knew Mirae so well that he could tell when she was lying even through the phone.

"Why do you think I know where she is?"

"Mirae, eomma's really worried why are you being so stubborn, you telling me is whats better for Seokyung as well."

Seokhoon tried to get Mirae to tell him. In her mind Mirae knew Seokhoon was right but was she ready to betray Seokyungs trust? On the other hand, the only thing Mirae did know about Seokyung was that she was going after her father or whatever he was to her. Mirae had no idea where Joo Dan Tae was so indirectly she didn't know where Seokyung is. Knowing that this was the wrong decision, Mirae still decided to do what her gut told her was right.

"I really don't know where she is, now will you stop calling me?"

Mirae said before quickly ending the call and going back to sit with Jenny.

"What did he want now?"

The girl asked looking amused. Jenny knew the two were bound to get back together. Jenny wasn't the only one who knew every single person who knew the two knew they were going to end up together. To Jenny and Rona specifically this whole ordeal was quite amusing.

"Nothing important"

Mirae said brushing off the question.

"Well why you were gone check this out. I don't know whether I'm proud of Rona or scared for what might happen to her next."

Jenny said showing Mirae a new article that was uploaded regarding the actual murderer of Yoon Hee. A satisfied smile took over Miraes face as she read the article explaining that the case of Oh Yoon Hee wasn't as simple as it seemed to be. Now that Cheon Seojin was involved things were complicated.

That was how the three girls ended up at the milkshake shop they usually went to, to celebrate Rona's big achievement.

"I can't believe I did that but I'm so glad I did"

Rona said with a smile on her face as the three clinked glasses.

"I'm sure you're mother would be very proud of you"

Mirae said making Rona smile even more.

"Now I think I'm going to focus on my singing for the time being."

Rona said taking a sip from her milkshake.

"You know what we all should do to celebrate, go on a blind date together."

Jenny said clapping her hand s together.

"I really don't think now's a good time..."

Rona was saying but got interrupted by Jenny.

"Come on please, it'll be so much fun. Maybe we'll find someone special too"

Jenny said wiggling her eyebrows causing Mirae to burst into laughter.

"But Jenny..."

No more buts, the last time I wanted all of us to go on a blind date together Mirae was already dating Joo Seokhoon, now that we're all single we have to do this once, please"

Jenny kept on pushing until the two agreed.

"Yes now you both remember you promised we'll go on a blind date together."

Jenny said excitedly as the other two just nodded wondering if this was a good idea or not.
