In the morning, Sadie woke up happy. Dahlia was purring, laying sprawled out in the sun spot shinning on her bed from her window. It was finally Friday, meaning late start! She got to sleep in, even if it was just an hour longer.
She stretches, gets out of bed, and gets dressed for the school day before leaving her room. Down the hall she finds Axel and Marc both sat on the couch together.
"Good morning sweets/darlin." Sadie tries to hide a smile and says good morning while slinking into the kitchen for breakfast. She quietly eats breakfast at the bar top and loads her plate into the washer when she's finished.
She plops herself down on the couch, right beside Axel and looks across him to Marc.
"Are you feeling better..?" Sadie was never raised to be kind to people, but she knew she didn't like it when people were rude to her so...
"Much better. Did you sleep well?" Marc was more than happy to converse with Sadie. He was glad she was seemingly easily warming up to him.
"Mhmm. How about you Axel?" Sadie looks to Axel and smiles back as he smiles her way.

"I slept well sweetness, thanks for asking." Axel ruffles Sadie's hair fondly and she giggles. Marc feels something stir in his chest as he realizes his brother is closer to his own daughter. Sure it's not by his own choice, but it still made him feel a little inadequate.
His train of thought was interrupted by Dahlia jumping into his lap. He raises a brow and pets the cat as it makes itself comfortable. Axel stands, explains that he needed to get dressed to drive Sadie to school. Before he knew it, Sadie, himself, and Dahlia were the only ones in the room.
"Anything fun going on at school today?" Marc kept petting Dahlia as Sadie seems to think about her answer. He didn't think she would ponder his question so hard.
"We play kickball in gym every Friday." He truly hadn't expected such a simple answer.
"You like sports?" That's something Marc could talk easily enough about.
"Absolutely...though, I couldn't ever sign up before..." Marc felt like shit the longer Sadie talks about the things she wasn't able to do as a kid. He hates that Kaylie wasn't there for her. He hates even more that he wasn't either.
"Ready to go Sadie?" Marc and Sadie both look at Axel as he comes dressed from the hall. Sadie nods her head and stands, before she gets to far away Marc reaches out and grabs her hand. She looks back at him in confusion.
"Have a good day Sadie, I'll see you when you get back."

Kaylie paces back and forth in her run down apartment. Since Blake left her she hadn't been able to find a suitable replacement, so she was stuck here for the time being.
'Where the fuck is that...' Her thoughts are interrupted by a knock on her front door. She angrily pulls it open and her brother walks through, followed by some big idiot she's never seen before.
"Took you long enough!" Kaylie sneers at her younger brother, who didn't bother with reacting. Wil Winchester knew his sister well enough to not give her anything to use as ammo.
"What do you want Kaylie?" She scoffs and turns to her brother fully. He was skinnier than he's ever been but Kaylie couldn't find it in herself to care.
"I need you to do something about that life ruining, little waste of space!" Kaylie spat the words from her mouth without a second thought. She had never felt a single motherly instinct towards Sadie, and that wouldn't change now.
