Sadie felt her hope drain at those words. Her own fathers would forgive her mother after everything she not only did to her, but to them as well. Tears upon tears fall from Sadie's eyes as she sits in her moms clutches.

"You're the love of our lives Kaylie." She refuses to look Axel in the eyes as he bends down to get closer to Kaylie. 'How could he?' However, when Sadie feels her moms grip loosen she can't not look up. Axel's whiskey eyes tell her she needs to move, and quickly.

She pushes herself from Kaylie's grip and dives towards Brandon to the left. She hears Kaylie yelling and the sound of wrestling, choosing however to simply stay hiding against Brandon. Her breaths were short as she continues to cry. Sadie hardly registers as Brandon leaves the room with her in his arms.

"Shh, everything's alright Dee." She shakes her head with more sobs as he sits them on the couch.

"Why...why would...Axel...s..say something like that..?!" She feels Brandon's deep breath and after a few, feels herself calming somewhat.

"I'm sorry Dee, it was the only way to get you away from Kaylie safety. She's...not in her right mind, and hasn't been for a while it seems." Sadie can't help but nod in agreement at that. 'He could have just said she's crazy.'

"I'm..still mad at him.." She feels a hand in her hair and she sighs, assuming it was Brandon.

"You can stay mad as long as you want sweets. Just know, I'll be there every step of the way till you give me a second chance." Sadie grips Brandon's coat in her hands and turns her face Axel's direction. His hand continues to run through her hair as a few tears fall from her mismatched eyes.

"I missed you dad.." Axel smiles at her and she sniffles while directing her attention to Marc as he walks up.

"Dad." Sadie stands from Brandon's lap and returns Marc's tight hug.

"Are you ok Sadie?" Marc looks her over and she smiles with watery eyes and nods. She jumps slightly when a hand lands somewhat roughly on her head.

"Let's go home malen'kiy krolik." She looks up at Raven, turning quickly to give him a hug, followed by Corey. Raven then gives her a piggyback ride as they leave the hotel. She spies Kaylie being put into a cop car and a weight lifts from her chest.

Sadie sits on the sectional at home, petting Dahlia absentmindedly as her fathers sit around her talking. Her thigh was wrapped up and feeling much better.

"Sadie how would you feel about moving to a bigger home? One where all of us could stay together?" She looks up at Corey as he straight up asks her. Sadie purses her lips in contemplation. Moving to a place big enough for all of them would be fantastic, but she was comfortable here. This small home was the very first place she had ever felt one hundred percent safe.

"What're you thinking darlin?" Marc catches her attention, bringing her out of her thoughts.

"I..feel safe here.." Sadie focused on Dahlia, petting her to keep calm.

"I'm glad to hear that sweetness. However, it wouldn't be any different at a new home. You would have each of us there with you as well. Dahlia would obviously come as well, and you can bring anything you like." Sadie really likes the idea of living with all of her fathers. She couldn't think of anything she would want more right now. The plus obviously being that she can bring anything she wants.

"Ok!" Sadie nods and receives five different smiles. She can't wait to literally bring almost everything in the whole house. Especially the plants.

-time skip-

Sadie hums happily to her quiet music as she places plants around her new room. Her fathers already had a home picked when they brought moving up only a few days ago. It was situated across one other home in a very private gated community.

Her room was decorated very similarly to her room before. The browns and greens moved with her. She sighs as she thinks about returning to school the next day. If anything the sigh was more excitement as she couldn't wait to finally be able to see Mavis again.

It was hard being away from her only friend after all. Especially since she'd just become her friend, what if she doesn't even want to talk to her now? 'Great, now I'm nervous.' She sits up and leaves her room, which was now an upstairs bedroom.

Down the stairs, she finds Corey sat in the living room with a stranger. A brunette stranger with a laptop sat on his lap. 'They must be working on something.' Sadie goes to enter into a different room when Corey calls out to her.

"Sadie, come meet my friend?" She appreciates him posing it as a question, but she didn't want to seem rude. Sadie makes her way towards them and the stranger makes eye contact.

"This is Victor. Victor this is our daughter, Sadie." Sadie didn't think she'd ever describe someone's eyes as "lighting up with fire," but here she was. His smile was literally perfect and she thought she could have been blinded.

"It's nice to meet you Sadie." He holds his perfect hand out for a handshake and Sadie smiles while shaking his hand.

"You too." She stands there awkwardly and Corey chuckles.

"We're finishing up with an assignment, Axel's in his office. I'll come find you?" Sadie nods and waves to Victor as she walks down the hall. Axel couldn't live without an office in the new home, or so he said. She knocks and walks in to find Axel looking into a glowing tank in the dark room. He glances at her before motioning her to join him by his side.

Sadie shrugs and walks up to the tank and looks in. A brow automatically raises as she doesn't find a single thing in the tank except the glowing stuff.

"What is it?"

"Bioluminescent algae; it's toxic so don't touch it." Sadie nods and continues to look at the algae with Axel. 'It's pretty cool.'

Some time later, Axel turns the lights on and leans against his desk while looking through a notebook.

"Are you excited to return to school tomorrow?" Sadie feels her earlier anxiety resurface. 'Of course Axel would somehow know.' Sadie silently sits on the small couch against the wall in the office.

"I had finally made a friend, and then I couldn't go to school." Axel puts his notebook aside and comes to sit beside Sadie.

"Go to school tomorrow, explain your situation to your friend if you'd like. Something tells me everything will be just fine." Sadie leans against Axel with a nod and stays there for a moment, feeling emotionally drained from worrying so much.

"Thanks dad." Axel squeezes her in a side hug and kisses the top of her head.

"Of course sweets."

Sadie walks into school the next morning with a nervous pit in her stomach. Her home room was already half full and she was glad Mavis wasn't in the same one.

By the end of the class, Sadie was feeling a little less nervous, but then the bell rang. Her next class was History, one she knew she had with Mavis. She walks in quickly and sits in her seat. Sadie immediately spots Mavis as she walks into the room. Which means she easily notices as Mavis starts making her way right to the seat beside her.

Sadie stays sat forward as Mavis unceremoniously plops down into the plastic chair beside her.

"You doing alright?" Sadie looks at Mavis, who has her own head facing forward.

"Um..yeah.." Mavis turns her piercing grey eyes on Sadie and she looks away. She sees Mavis lean in closer and hears her start to whisper.

"Sadie I know about your family, both of them." Confused, Sadie looks up at Mavis. She's really not surprised that Mavis had heard about her mom and fake dad. About how she was treated growing up, she just hopes it doesn't chase her off. But to say she knows about her fathers? 'What exactly does she know?'
