Cody's pov

Man, the sunlight wakes me up. It looked like everyone except Toby was sleeping. I put a blanket on Micheal to make him comfortable. I get in the middle seat. "Good morning," Toby said. We stopped by a hotel across the tall building. I assume it's the FBI building.

"Good morning, Toby," I mumble as I look at the building. "Is that the FBI building?"

"Yes, it is," Toby responds. I sighed. I can't believe it's morning already. No wonder time flies that fast. "By the way, President Hudson will meet you there,"

That will be easy. I get out of the car. I take my luggage with me. "I will see you guys in the hotel," I said. Toby nods his head. He is going to wake them up. I entered the hotel. Wow, it's so big. There is a huge crystal chandelier. I look at it, mesmerized.

I hit the desk. The old lady is sitting in a chair and she stares at me. "Are you here to check in?" she asks, glaring at me. She looks like she doesn't have time. I see her badge name. It says 'Charlotte Anderson'.

"Yes, I am here to check in with my friends," I say. Charlotte types on a computer with the keyboard. Her fingers were going everywhere. She isn't typing professionally. But the most ironic thing is that she isn't even looking at the keyboard but at the screen.

Charlotte looks up at me. "What?"

"I'm just shocked that you don't type professionally. But how could you spend time on screen?" I asked.

"The world may expect all of us to be professional when it comes to jobs and also expect us to do things perfectly. But it isn't always the case. We are meant to make mistakes. Remember that, child?" Charlotte said.

I look down at the desk. "Don't listen to what society says about you,"

"Thank you, Mrs. Anderson," I said, smiling.

Charlotte smiles back. "How many rooms?"

"Five rooms, separately," I answer. Charlotte takes out the room keys and gives them to me.

"How long you will be staying?" she asked.

"Two weeks, I think," I respond. I see Toby, Micheal, Ben, and Amelia entering the hotel. Amelia looks more tired. I don't think she slept well.

Charlotte's pov

I have been working for the FBI for years. But when they told me about Cody Grover, the hero of the United States and he was coming to Washington, I was an undercover agent. I still am. Well, my job is to keep an eye on Cody and his friends.

I know about coronation. I was the one who stepped up to help Cody in secret. But I have to be discreet. Cody and his friends go in the elevator.

I sit back down and go back to typing on my computer. My typing is so bad. I let my fingers dance everywhere on the keyboard. My phone rings. I pick it up.

"Hello?"

"Mrs. Anderson, did Mr. Grover and his friends arrive at Washington safely?" Edward asks on the other line.

Edward is the head of the FBI. He trusts me the most to be part of important missions. But he does know of my methods. One of my important methods is using disguises and observation. I don't observe like creeps do.

I know all about David Grover and how he abandoned the UK to start a family. I think Cody knows about his father's cowardice.

"Yes, sir, they have," I answer.

"I will tell Cody to come to the FBI building tomorrow morning. You have to be there for the meeting for the secret weapon. Do you understand, Mrs. Anderson?" Edward asked.

"I do," I said and I hung up the phone. Sheesh this is going to be a very long night. But one thing I know for sure is that Cody will save the world by any means.

Amelia's pov

I still feel sleepy after taking Toby's pills. I walk into my room and shut the door. It looked familiar to Cody's room when I first entered. I didn't want to unpack. So, I went to sleep. I can be a laid-back person. But at work, I'm quite a diligent worker.

I heard tapping. But it gets even louder. I groan in annoyance. Stop bothering me, can't they fucking see that I'm still sleeping I let out a growl. I walk up to the door. My legs are wobbly. I open the door.

"Hey, Ames," Cody said. My eyes widen. Cody is standing in front of me. I rub my eyes. "Are you tired?"

"N-No," I lied.

But luckily, Cody shrugs it off. "Can I come in?" he asks.

I let him in. He closes the door. "So I got a text from my brother, Henry," Cody floundering for words. He looks like he doesn't really know what to say.

"He uh told me about the terrorist organization called The Blackthorn Society. They have been behind many assassinations of prominent politicians and the recent murder of Anthony Miller. Henry send me the footage," Cody says. He gives me his phone. "Watch the footage,"

I glare at him. I knew from his eyes that he was not kidding. I think Henry hacked into the system. I took the phone from Cody and began to watch the footage.

In the footage, Anthony is giving a speech about something. But all of a sudden, he begins to spit out blood. Anthony dies. There is a carnage of people present in the footage. Footage ends.

I hand the phone back to Cody. "I think something is off," I reply. Cody nods his head in agreement.

"We got to find out about the secret weapon," Cody said. "Or else the world is doomed,"

Nevertheless, he does have a point. How did Anthony die? According to the footage, he looked healthier before he died. I think it's Red Dragon's doing.

We need to find out about members of the Blackthorn Society organization. I think we should start there. All I know is it's going to be a very long journey for us to find out.

Author's note: Sorry I haven't written for so long. I'm running out of ideas. I was also working on the Heir of Notorious Gang story. I decided to finish Fearless first. Have a good day.
