"Mates!!" The voice in my head says louder.

"Are you my wolf?" I think back in my head, trying to figure out how to talk to my wolf.

"Yes and that's our mate!" She replies.

"Right. We've established that much." I reply sarcastically.

"Can you hear your wolf?" Colby asks.

"Yes!" I nod enthusiastically.

"Where have you been all these years?" I ask her.

"I had been suppressed by a spell done by an evil witch before your parents died." She tells me.

"Do you know who?" I ask her.

"I don't know her name but I would know her if I seen her." She replies. "Even though I haven't been able to talk to you, I've always been here."

"She was suppressed by a spell by an evil witch. She said she doesn't know her name but would be able to recognize her if she seen her." I tell Colby.

"That's horrible, but I'm glad she's back now."

"I'll only be back for a little while unless you mate with this hot hunk." She tells me and I roll my eyes.

"What are you two talking about?" Colby asks with a smirk.

"The weather." I reply sarcastically with a hint of blush on my cheeks.

"Come on let me give you a tour before you jump my bones." He laughs.

"Don't worry, your bones are safe. For today anyway." I wink at him.

He shakes his head and laughs, standing up to walk into the hallway with me closely behind him.

He leads me through a maze of hallways pointing out random rooms I'm never going to remember.

"It must have been tough growing up with no wolf and no parents either." He says suddenly breaking the silence as we come down a big staircase.

"It was okay." I give him a small smile, I don't want his pity.

"No siblings either?" He asks.

"No, or at least not that I know of. I feel like everything I thought was facts hasn't been so much facts lately." I shrug.

"Yeah I'm sure it's been kind of a rough reality adjustment." He nods. "I'm sorry."

"It's okay." I smile.

"Are you hungry? We are coming by the kitchen and we can make us some lunch before we finish up the tour."

My stomach rumbles as if right on que, "lunch sounds nice."

"How about a world famous PB & J?" He asks with a smile.

"That sounds wonderful."

He stops us in the kitchen, slapping together two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches like it was a fine art before setting one down in front of me.

"Not to inflate your ego, but this is a really good PB & J" I smile at him after taking a bite.

"World famous." He reminds me with a smile.

"What was it like growing up with a brother?" I ask, I mean I feel like growing up with Blaine had to be pretty similar.

"Like having a shadow that never shut up." He laughs.

I follow him back outside where he shows me the training the pack is doing. Lots of hand to hand combat, weight training, running, and a lot of group activities are taking place.

Oliver, Colby's brother, walks up to us, "well well well, if it isn't little miss problem showing up."

"I'm not a problem if I'm not provoked" I roll my eyes at him.

"Get out of here!!" My wolf yells.

"Why?!" I ask back.

"He's the one who murdered your mom and dad!" I hear my wolf in my head.

"What?!" I ask her.

"Yes! Him and his dad killed your parents and Blaine's parents."

"You're sure?" I ask.

"Positive." She replies confidently.

"Listen I hate to cut this visit short, but your hour is up. So I'm gonna head on out." I say confidently even though my insides are shaking.

"Come on babe, don't you want to stay?" Colby smiles genuinely.

"I've got some business to take care of, I'll catch you later though." I smile as I back away before turning and walking back to the front of the pack house where I parked my truck. I pull out of there and let out a breath I hadn't even realized I was holding.

"Are you sure it was him?" I ask my wolf again.

"Yes I'm sure. It was him and their dad." She replies.

"How can we be mates to the family that killed my parents?" I asked her.

"The moon goddess doesn't make mistakes."

I roll my eyes and tune her out, I am NOT going to be in love with the family who killed mine, and tried to kill Blaine. I need to leave. I need to leave so my friends are safe.

I get home and start throwing some clothes into a suitcase, packing my toiletries and everything as well. I grab my phone and laptop charger, throwing it into my bag as well.

I sit down with a notebook, and start writing.

"I have decided to run away. I love you all and just want to keep everyone safe. Please don't come looking for me, I will already be long gone before you all find this note. Just know I love you all and I don't want anyone to get hurt." I sign it and put a heart next to my name. I leave the notebook on my bed.

I take my suitcase and bag out to my truck and load it up, turning off my location setting on my phone so no one can track me. I get back into the truck and head for the closest gas station, filling up the tank. I go inside and grab some snacks and drinks for the road and get everything situated in the truck.

I connect my phone to the Bluetooth and play some music, rolling down the windows and heading west. The warm sunshine on my skin as I drive up the interstate, hair blowing in the wind, music turned all the way up.

They'll never find me where I'm going, just so long as I make it there.
