"Danny...Danny..Danielle."

I let out a groan, rolling over to snuggle deeper into the satin sheets I'm tangled in.

"As fuckable as you look right now, you have to get up. It's your first day of training." Colby grabs ahold of the sheets, ripping them from my body and dragging me off the bed in one swift motion.

"Colbyyy " I whine, "come on I'm so tired. What time even is it?" I curl up on the floor, not above going back to sleep right here.

"3:00" he picks me up, standing me up on my feet forcing me to wake up.

"The only people awake at this time are cops and criminals!" I exasperate, trying to get away from him and back into bed, where I belong.

"Says the woman who shot me!" His eyes widening in shock at my judgement of criminals.

"You're the jail bird, not me!" I struggle in his arms, him only pulling me in closer and tightening his arms around me.

"You know what will wake you up?" His teeth nipping my earlobe, "a nice cold shower." A wicked grin taking over his handsome face.

"Colby don't you dare! I'm awake. Let me go!" I thrash in his arms again, him walking us towards the bathroom.

"Oh it's too late for that now, we are already 20 minutes behind schedule." He tsks, hand reaching into the shower and turning it on cold as he wrangles me with one hand with ease.

Next thing I know I'm under the cold stream, goosebumps exploding all over my skin as I shiver under the faucet. I flip the handle to hot, the water warming slowly.

"Fuck you." I seethe out at him once my teeth stop chattering.

"Come on, we are late." He grabs me a towel as I step out of the shower, "put on clothes you can move easily in."

He turns around, walking out of the bathroom and going to get dressed. I walk into the closet, pulling out a cute set of underwear and an athletic set. I grab out some socks and my tennis shoes, pulling on the clothes and shoes before going back to the bathroom. I brush my hair, smoothing the wet strands back into a braid. I apply my deodorant and perfume before walking back out into the bedroom to find Colby waiting patiently on the bed.

"Follow me." He leads us out of the bedroom and down to the kitchen, pulling out two protein shakes from the fridge. "Chocolate or Vanilla?"

"Neither, I don't usually eat early in the mornings it makes my stomach hurt."

"You have to have protein. Especially now that you're a werewolf." He tosses me the chocolate, "bottoms up!" He chugs his entire carton, watching me the whole time.

I turn the carton up, drinking it as fast as possible, the chalky texture tastes horrible. "Good girl." He gives me a smirk when I quirk an eyebrow up at him. "Now, let's go for a run."

I follow him outside, where he starts jogging onto a path that leads through the woods, me jogging alongside him.

"After our run, we will go do some hand to hand combat in the training center." He explains, "then we will go to a negotiations meeting with the neighboring pack."

I nod, "busy day."

"The life of an Alpha and Luna." He smiles as he speeds up his pace, our strides in sync.

After our run we stopped by the training center, where he introduced me to a lot of pack members before taking me into a private room to work on my combat skills.

"So, do you know anything about fighting?" He asks, grabbing some pads to put over his hands for me to punch and kick at.

"If I did I probably wouldn't have a Glock."
