I sit in the car for a minute, taking in the furry in Colby's eyes from a safe distance. He stomps off the porch, making his way to my door where he yanks it open with a force that almost takes it off the hinges. His face leans down close to mine, his eyes black pits, "give me the keys."

My mouth drops open in shock, I expected him to be mad, to yell and scream, but I somehow didn't expect him to take the car away like I was a teenager who got caught being somewhere she shouldn't be. "What?"

"Give. Me. The. Keys." His body is shaking, and you can see the anger in his eyes.

"No." I know I'm playing with fire, but he's not getting these keys.

"I'm selling this car." He holds his hand out expecting me to hand him the keys.

"I'll buy it."

"No, you won't. I'm selling it to literally anybody else. I am not letting you keep this car just so you can get yourself killed in it." He reaches across me, unbuckling my seatbelt and pulling me from the car. He slings me over his shoulder, reaching back in the car and grabbing the keys from the console as he packs me into the house. I beat my closed fists against his back, literally kicking and screaming the whole way.

We walk past the pack members who were gathered in the living room and kitchen, their eyes wide as they watch their Alpha drag their Luna upstairs kicking and screaming.

"Alpha?" One of them questions as they gather around the bottom stair as we get to the top.

Colby stops, turning slowly to them as I still thrash in his hold, "she is fine, I'm taking her car away and so she's having a tantrum like a toddler."

He turns back around to continue on his way to our bedroom, and I stop fighting him. He walks in, throwing me on the bed, me landing with a soft bounce.

He sits down in the chair, putting his head in his hands and running them down his face.

"Colby?" I question, sitting up to stare at him as I pull my knees to my chest and rest my chin on top of them.

He lifts his head, his eyes meeting mine, his swirling with sadness, anxiousness, and something else I can't make out.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

He scoffs, "what's wrong? My mate is being reckless!" He stands up, his hands on his hips.

"I...I wasn't." I start but he cuts me off.

"You weren't? I know you're a werewolf now Danny but crashing a car at 150 MPH could still kill you!" He's full on screaming at this point, my eyes widen as he continues on, "Is that what you want? You want to get yourself killed and leave me without a mate? Leave this pack without its Luna? What about Brittany and Blaine? You think they would be okay with that?" He stops, eyebrows raised as he waits for my reply.

"No.." I start but get caught off as a sob leaves my throat, my eyes pouring tears as I think about what he's saying, "I'm..I'm sorry Colby."

He walks over, sitting down beside me and pulling me into his lap. He pulls me in close, smelling my hair as he kisses the top of my head and I cry into his chest, "the car is parked until I feel like you can drive it safely. The only reason I'm not selling it is because it's your dream car."

I cry harder, I don't know why but it's like now that I've started I can't stop. "O-okay." I stutter in-between sobs.

He wipes my tears with the pad of his thumbs but more just keep coming, he holds me close, "Calm down Danny." He whispers into my ear but I literally cannot calm down. I jump up from his lap, rushing into the bathroom and dropping to my knees in front of the toilet, my stomach emptying its contents as a wave of nausea crashes into me.
