I pace the bathroom floor as I wait the three minutes for the five pregnancy tests to give us an answer, Colby watching me wearily.

"It's going to be okay, Danny." He says in an effort to calm me down, pulling me into his chest.

"Says the one who won't be pregnant!" I whine at him, the reality of the possibility weighing heavily on me. We were not ready for this at all.

We got five different brands of tests to take, I had tried to explain to Colby that I should take one a day for the next five days just to be sure but he countered that with, "if you're pregnant, you're pregnant right? Like wouldn't it be positive all five days. Just take them all now I can't wait."

The three minute timer alarms on my phone and I intake a sharp breath before checking all the tests.

All five are negative, and I'm confused as a pang of sadness rings through my body at the sight. We are not remotely ready for a baby but the thought of a mini Colby and I was something cheerful.

"It's negative." I whisper, my voice steadier than I thought it would be. I glance up to notice a wave of sadness through his blue eyes.

"Are you, okay?" I ask, wrapping my arms around him and pulling myself closer.

"I'm okay. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed though. I know we aren't ready, and things would have been very hectic but I can't help but wonder what having a little one of us running around would be like." He kisses the top of my head.

"I'm not going to lie, I'm a little disappointed too." I whisper, not really wanting to admit it.

"We could you know, try for one." He offers.

"We have not exactly been trying to stop one all along."

"That's a good point." He nods.

"We should try to use protection now though, I'd really like to get married and things before we have a baby." I lean back, looking into his eyes, "I don't want to rush something that's supposed to last Forever."

He smiles, placing a sweet kiss on my lips, "that sounds like a good plan."

I nod before pulling his lips down for another kiss, him wrapping his arms tighter around my waist before picking me up and setting me on the bathroom vanity, deepening the kiss all in one swift motion. My arms find their home around his neck, my fingers playing with his soft hair.

He pulls back, his eyes burning into mine, "I love you so much."

"I love you more." I smile, before his lips return to mine for another heated kiss. His hand coming up to cup the side of my face.

He pulls away briefly, "we should have got protection while we were at the store." His lips returning to mine before I can get a word out, not that I'm complaining. His other hand grips my waist tightly, while his tongue invades my mouth. He picks me up, my legs wrapping around his waist as he walks us back into the bedroom, I take this time to leave a trail of kisses down his neck.

He shudders when I graze over a certain spot at the base of his throat, my teeth graze over it again as a low groan passes through his lips.

"Mark me." He whispers, his voice a low gravelly sound that sends a chill through my body. I had gotten my wolf when we completed the mate bond, but had no idea how to use my teeth to mark him at that time.

"Finally." I hear my wolf, she's been ready for a long time.

I feel my teeth extend, me biting down on that spot as he lets out a small sound of pain, my teeth sinking in deep.
