Selena's POV:

I was awakened by rays of sun, hitting my face. I groaned and sat up in bed. I looked around and saw that I was back at the manor in my own room. It took a couple of minutes before flashbacks of last night came back to me... Something was different?.

I glanced over at the clock on the bedside table. 04:00 in the morning. Breakfast wasn't served for another few hours. Which meant I had time to go for a run before the manor came to life. I got up and did my well rehearsed morning routine. I put my hair in a high ponytail and decided on unpacking my bag, looking for anything suitable for a run. I decided on some gray sweatpants, a cropped black t-shirt and some black sneakers. I left the room as quietly as possible and made my way down the hall. It was still quite dark in the manor, even though the sun had risen. I came to a room on my right where light flowed out from under the door, indicating that someone was already up. I gently stepped past the door as quietly as I could although quite unsuccessful.

"Miss Rain." a deep raspy voice sounded from behind me. I stopped dead in my tracks and slowly turned around. "Good morning Mr. Malfoy" I said innocently with my hands clasped behind my back. He looked tired, like he hadn't slept all night. But even so, he stood tall in a black shirt with the top buttons undone and black suit pants. His long blond hair, falling gracefully on his shoulders. I would lie if i said i did not find him the tiniest bit sexy at all... fuck. I looked up from where I had been staring, and caught his icy blue eyes roaming all over my body. It made me tingle all over and I could feel an unfamiliar tension slowly built up. I cleared my throat to defuse the tension. "Come with me." He said, gesturing for me to go into the room he had suddenly emerged from. "Is this your study Mr. Malfoy?" I asked as I took in the room. Every inch of every wall was decorated with a variety of dusty old and seemingly new books. A big mahogany desk stood at the far end of the room stacked with parchments. A grand lit fireplace with a black stone surface stood on the left side, giving off some warmth to the otherwise cold but intriguing room. A lounge area arranged to the right with leather furniture. "Yes.. Do you like it?" He asked, while walking over to his desk and sat down on his chair. "Yes, sir. It's very beautiful, "I said.

"Come, sit." He said and padded his lab. Before I could register what he said, my body followed suit. I gently sat down on his lap and he rested his hand on my waist, securing me in place. His cold silver rings made my exposed skin just above my waistline erupt in goosebumps.. fuck. "How are you feeling this morning, little one?" he asked me and gave me a smile. I looked down on my hands nervously, heart beating a bit faster. "Um, I'm fine Sir." He cupped my chin and forced me to look up at him. "Look at me, when I speak to you." He said tiresome. "Do you feel any different from yesterday?" he asked, searching my eyes for the truth. I furrowed my brows, confused by his question. "I'm feeling fine Mr. Malfoy... nothing out of the ordinary." I lied, obviously. He seemed disappointed by my answer. "Where were you heading this early in the morning?" He looked at me with skepticism in his eyes. "I was just about to go for a run. It helps me clear my head." He tightened his grip around me and said slowly "Stay on the grounds and be back by 07:00. Do you understand me, Miss Rain?" His face suddenly inches away. Taken aback by the sudden presence of dominance emerging from him, I answered without thinking "Yes of course, Sir." I could feel his hot minty breath fan over my cheek. Our lips merely inches apart. We stayed like that for what felt like forever, but in reality it probably only lasted 5 long seconds. It seemed like none of us wanted to break away from each other. At last he let go of me and pushed me off his lap. He sat back in his chair with an exasperated look on his face and pinched the skin between his eyebrows. "Go.." He said. And I sure as hell wasted no time. I hurried out the study and made my way out to the back of the manor towards the grounds.
