Draco's POV:

I stood in my bathroom and was brushing my teeth, thinking about what Selena had told me the night before. She had changed alot in the last few months. She used to be funny, kind too those she liked and smart. Always fun to be around. But i almost couldn't recognize my best friend anymore. She had lost alot of weight and seemed... more animalistic in her behavior. The way she moved and the wild look she had in her eyes. Honestly... she was creeping me out. She was the shell of a person i once knew. But one thing i knew for sure.. i had to speak with my father. Even though i promised her not to. This was too important.

After i got dressed for the day, i made my way too Selena's room, to accompany her to breakfast. I knocked on her door and waited for her to invite me in. But no response, so i let myself in. I was met with the sight of Selena, standing against the tall windows, overlooking the back garden of the manor. Her arms was crossed over her chest as she was looking intently at something in the distance. Like a cat, hunting for birds.

"Morning, Sel" I greeted her. She turned her head slowly in my direction. She was wearing the same clothes from last night. Her blond hair, falling loosely down her back, reaching her butt. She had no makeup on and an emotionless expression on her face. She was beautiful as always. "Morning, Draco"  She said coldly. "Did you sleep well?" i asked her. She walked gracefully towards me. "I'm starving.", " Not much of a talker this morning?" i said playfully, trying to lighten the mood. "No." she said in a monotone voice and walked past me and out the door. I caught up with her in the hall. "Hey, what do you want to do, today?" i asked her. "I want to return home, so i can gather my belongings. If I'm to stay here over the summer, i need more than one set of clothes." She said boringly. "Sure, Sel." I said a little disappointed. "I'll talk to my father and see what we can do."

We entered the dining room, where we were met by the sight of my father, sitting at his usual spot at the head of the table. My mother on his left. "Good morning you two!" My mother said in her fake sweet voice. She stood up and walked towards Selena and gave her a hug. "Welcome to the manor sweetie." Selena was clearly uncomfortable by my mother's touch and didn't hug her back. She let go off her and said "I'm sorry we didn't get to properly introduce ourselves last night. It was a little chaotic as you saw. I'm Narcissa Malfoy and this is my husband, Lucius Malfoy." She smiled. My father came and took her hand and gave it a kiss. "Welcome, miss Rain. Lucius Malfoy, at your service" He gave her a wink. "Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Malfoy. Thank you for having me. Even under these circumstances." She said coldly. "Nonsense my dear. It's an honor to house a witch of your caliber. Now come, please join us for breakfast." He said and sat down at his spot. I sat down on my fathers right side and Selena sat down beside me. I saw her slightly struggle to sit down. "You okay?" i asked her in low voice. "Yes I'm fine, Draco. Stop nursing me" She said dismissively. I let her be and just observed her instead. The food appeared on our plates in front of us and we started eating. "Everything okay dear?" My mother said. I looked up and saw that Selena had not touched her food. "Yes Mrs. Malfoy" She said. "Just not that hungry this morning" She gave my mother a weak smile. "Severus should be here soon, with the potions you need love. Maybe that will help your appetite." My father said while reading the Daily Prophet. "Yes, sir." She said

"So Selena, Draco have told me all about you" My mother said with a big smile. I rolled my eyes. "Mother, not now please." I said, giving her a dismissive look. "It's okay Draco." Selena said, turning her attention back to my mother. "All good i hope." She said, making my mother laugh. "Of course dear. He told me that you are excelling in school?" She said and clapped her hands together with excitement. Before Selena could answer. The front door opened, making her jump up and turn towards the door. I could tell by her face, that she was expecting danger. "A little nervous are we, little one?" My father asked her. She didn't answer him and kept looking at the direction to the front door. Professor Snape emerged from the darkness of the hall and she instantly relaxed. "Morning." He said dryly. He walked over to Selena and gave her a little pouch containing the potions. "Take them now and rest for a couple of hours. Your body should be healed before night falls." She opened the pouch, making sure that he didn't miss anything. Snape looked down on her and said. "I don't like what you are insinuating, Miss Rain.", "Sorry Professor, force of habit." She said simply.
