Pulling up the driveway I see Mark's car parked. I wasn't expecting him and had no missed calls so I'm feeling a bit confused as to why he is here. I hope it's not mom, I knew something had not felt right the last time I saw her. Pulling in quickly and stopping the car i jump out, trying to hide my panic from Evan.

"Grandad" Evan shouts, noticing the car and running around to the driver's side of the door where Mark is still sitting. He gets out, looking at me his face looks tired and pale but he gets out the car and turns around picking up Evan with a fake smile

"Evan, how are you? my favourite boy" he places a kiss on the top of his head before popping him back down on the floor.

"Have you come to see me Grandad?" Mark looks over to me, I can tell he is nervous

"Yeah, and your dad, shall we go inside?" Evan nods his head grabbing his hand as he pulls him towards the door. I walk past them getting my keys out to open the door, holding it open as Evan pulls Mark inside.

"I'll just put the kettle on, you staying for a cuppa Mark" I ask as he goes with Evan into the living room

"If that's ok Louis, that be great thank you"

I leave Evan and Mark to settle as I rush into the kitchen pulling my phone out of my pocket to check if I have any missed calls from mom. There are no calls, just a message from Harry telling me he's going for dinner. I wonder what's happened, it's not like Mark to just show up like this, well not since all that stuff came out about the situation with Des, if anything he usually does everything to avoid me so I'm feeling a bit confused as to what he could want. God, I hope he isn't in trouble again. I don't think I could hide it from mom this time.

I make the tea and carry it through to the lounge placing the cups down on the coffee table

"Evan mate, can you just run upstairs and get out your kit and place it tidily in the washing basket and I be up in a minute to get you showered yeah? you still have half the pitch all on your legs"

"But dad, grandads here to see me, can I shower later?" he huffs folding his arms over his chest

"Evan, now please, grandad will still be here when you get down" he looks over to Mark as if not believing a word I say.

"Yeah Evan, go do as your dad says and I'll drink my tea and Il come up to you and come see your room how's that sound?"

"Ok, but don't be taking too long" he says cheekily as he marches out the room towards his room.

Mark shuffles nervously as he reaches for his cup and takes a sip. I don't say anything, I'm waiting for him, I can tell there is a reason he is here and he needs to tell me what's going on, praying to myself it's not about mom

"Erm, how are you son? How's Harry?" I look at him, I know he is delaying but I can tell whatever it is he needs to say is hard for him and I don't want to pressure him and make him not say what he has come for

"Yeah I'm good, Harrys good, he's on tour, well as you know so, well yeah all good"

"Arrr that's good, am glad" he takes another sip of his tea, the silent is so loud and it's uncomfortable, my anxiety is climbing

"Look Mark, is mom ok? Has something happened? only you don't really come around here much anymore and to tell you the truth your silence is making me really nervous, so whatever it is can you please just tell me"

"She knows Lou" and what. I swear my mouth drops open, looking over at Mark who has now placed his cup on the table and is wiping tears from his eyes

"I... I couldn't not tell her, the guilt was eating me up once you found out and after what I did to you, I just couldn't not tell her, you were right she needed to know. I'm sorry if this causes a mess for you but I had to tell her" he cries. I don't think I've ever seen Mark this upset.
