Like all things with him, it starts with a click. The simple action of pressing a chrome painted button and capturing a moment in time. To most the action meant nothing but for Danny Johnson it meant everything. There was power in such a seemingly insignificant action. Jed Olsen knew that better than anyone. He made hearts stop, both literally and figuratively, after a press of a button. He threw cities into a panic and then he would disappear. Oh how he missed that. He missed seeing his work hit the front pages of every local paper in a two hundred mile radius of his kills. Naturally he was more inclined to pick up the daily if it was a piece he wrote but then again he was biased. The Entity's realm didn't dabble in the news but it certainly had plenty of subjects to follow.

Click. Danny sighed from his perch as he peered down at the lit image on the LCD screen. Was it him or was watching the survivors the equivalent of watching paint dry? He had gotten better shots out of Myers and all he ever did was sit around staring holes into walls.

Beggars can't be choosers Danny boy.

But was he really begging? All he wanted was for something to catch his attention and hold on to it. Instead he was thumbing through images of a flushed and sweaty eighteen year old girl intent on blowing her knee out with how hard she was pushing herself to run. Two fifty-two on a twenty yard dash, personal best. Danny had money that if she ever managed a two twenty her right knee was going to pop like a fucking grape. He wanted to be around to catch it when it happened but it wouldn't be any time soon.

Tucking his camera securely into one of his pockets he gave one last dissatisfied look in the girl's direction and dropped down from the trees.

Foggy High School's Top Track Star Bores Spectators Once Again. It was a page five type of editorial. Barely worth the ink.

The thought soured Danny's mood considerably as he stalked through the trees. Maybe he'd pay the kids up at Mount Ormond a visit. At least one of them was bound to do something interesting and if push came to shove he wasn't above provoking them into action. That would be the plan it seemed or at least it would have been had he not felt the gentle caress of The Entity. Now that was a distraction he'd take any day.

It seemed like their little eldritch deity knew how to spice things up for him. With a tremor of anticipation, Danny picked up his pace and headed directly for the gathering thick mist.

Haddonfield had been one of the biggest shit fests if Danny ever saw one. It was disappointing too. They had been doing well enough to get two generators done by the time he finally made his presence known but that's where it went to hell. It was baffling sometimes how seasoned survivors started acting like they were new to how trials worked the minute he sprinted from around a bush.

At least the Swedish girl or was she Finnish, he couldn't be sure it wasn't like any of them walked around brandishing ID, gave him a decent enough run around. She skulked around in the shadows of the houses as if she was the killer herself. The thought had amused Danny so much that he had willingly wasted a few minutes just watching her from a second story window taking pictures.

Local Town Delinquent Revealed to Be The Haddonfield Strangler. Now that was a front page headline.

In the end no one escaped even with the five gens having been powered. The doors had still been firmly shut by the time Danny got Nea hooked. It was her first one but with her teammates long dead she might as well have been dead on hook. He pulled his camera out, aimed it at her pain stricken face and waited. When the Entity's spider legs materialized from the unseen nether he sighed contently. Click.

He ended up on the outskirts of the Red Forest or rather some loose interpretation of it when the fog and embers cleared from his vision. With the lack of roasting animal caracasses permeating the air he was certain he wouldn't be running into the Huntress here. Small favors. He had no ill-will towards the behemoth of a woman though the same couldn't be said for her. She didn't appear too keen on the other sex which certainly meant that she wouldn't be pleased to find Danny watching her. Not that she had much of a choice when it came to how he chose to spend his time outside of 'work'. Couldn't throw a hatchet at someone who you didn't even know was there.
