The music started slowly. Scarlett just stared at her in a daze without hearing anything else. The eyes of that singer seemed to be searching for someone and they landed on her.

When their eyes met, it was like sparks flew. She was stunned and so was the owner of those blueish-grey eyes.

After what seemed like forever but was a mere seconds, she saw the most gorgeous smile. Ashley smiled and said in a gentle voice.

" This is my favorite song and I sing it on very few special occasions. It's not my original song but I really want to sing this song cause I am feeling so happy. So here we go. "

Then suddenly they started playing upbeat and fun music. Cheers from the crowd came as they recognized the song.

" My stupid heart

Don't know, I've tried to let you go
So many times before
Then wound up at your door

My stupid heart

Too late, already on my way
If we go down in flames
Again then you can blame my stupid heart (oh shit, okay)

You can blame my stupid heart (oh shit, okay)

You can blame my stupid... "

It was 'My Stupid Heart' from Walk Off The Earth. The crowd started dancing to the tunes while singing along. Everyone was having fun. The singer was also moving around tapping her feet while she sang. The pianist and everyone else were enjoying themselves.

There was beauty in that moment that Scarlett will never forget. The smiles on everyone's faces and their heartfelt voices as they sang the beautiful song. She was entrapped in that moment. She had never felt such pure bliss and happiness from people. Their simple smiles and being among them made her remember this moment forever.

While singing the song, her eyes met with the blueish-grey ones. And then the owner of those eyes kept looking at her while singing. At first, she looked back but then she got a little embarrassed and avoided her eyes. She didn't know if the singer still kept looking at her but throughout the song, she could feel the burning eyes on her.

The time seemed to last forever yet it disappeared in the blink of an eye. Scarlett was stunned. She was already missing the moment and the voice singing that song. It was so beautiful that she even thought about someone recording it and listening to it again and again.

While she was still in a daze, Mary shook her as she said.

" Are you serious? You didn't even dance on that song?! It was so fun."

" I was just listening but I liked it. It was amazing."

" I know right? It's a pity they're only going to sing one song. Do you know this band? I am seeing them for the first time. It must be pretty famous right? With those looks and that voice?"

" Yeah... "

" I'll look up their name. Hopefully, they have songs on YouTube too. Let's go back to the table. I'll get a drink and you can have something."

They went back to the table. Scarlett was not focused at all as her mind was all on a certain black-haired girl. She didn't dare look back at the stage so she didn't know where is she. They sat down and Mary got herself some drink.

Scarlett got herself a can of Coke. She didn't know much about the drinks and mocktails so she just got what she knew. She sneaked a look at the stage and they were no longer there. Then she looked around the stage and still didn't see her anywhere. She had a strange unsettling feeling. Feelings of regret or something.

The thought came across her that she might never get to see her again and that disturbed her heartbeat. Her heart pleaded to see her one more time but she couldn't get herself to get up and look around for her even though she could still possibly be around.

As she was sipping on the coke while feeling a little anxious, she heard a voice from behind.

" Looking for me?"

Scarlett was stunned. There she was standing in all her glory. With a Mojito in her hand and her iPhone in the other. She had her signature grin on her face as she looked at her. Her eyes were so beautiful that she was entranced.

" Yeah. No! I, I was... "

"It's okay. I was just kidding." Ashley said with a genuine smile.
