Scarlett finally sent Mary off and went back. She also reminded her to message her when she reached home. Then she walked back to the bar. All of them were totally drunk but she was sober. Like the odd man out.

On the way back, she walked slowly as if taking a stroll. She avoided drunken strangers walking swayingly as she didn't want to get in trouble with them. All the while thinking deeply. Her mind was wandering around what Mary said and of course the great person that had occupied her mind.

When she entered the bar, her eyes searched for a pair of blueish-grey eyes but she couldn't find them. Then her heartbeats got a little uneasy before she could realize why. She kept searching for her again and again but didn't see her.

Then she remembered she had given her number to the lady so she checked her phone. Turns out that Ashley did message her and it's been an hour already.

[ Hi. It's Ashley and this is my number.]

[ You can message me whenever you are free. I'll be here till late and I'll wait for you if you want me to.]

[ Have fun and be safe when you go home. It's okay if you forget about it.]

The last message came around fifteen minutes ago. It seemed like Ashley assumed that she left and she had forgotten about the date.

Scarlett thought about whether to reply to her message or not. That's when she saw one of Ashley's friend. She kept her eyes on him and he went to the bar counter where her other friends were but she wasn't there.

However, they were all a little drunk, and assuming all of them were still there, Ashley is probably still there too. So Scarlett decided to look around and see if she comes.

She waited another fifteen minutes with no signs of Ashley. She was thinking that maybe she's wrong. She decided to ask her friends at last before going home. So she went to Ashley's friend. They were all a bit drunk and having fun. She wondered why Ashley was not with them when she hadn't left.

She approached their table and heard them laughing drunkenly. The girl in their group then said something.

" And guys you remember that guy in pink clothes who came to ask Ashley out? Everyone was sure he was gay but then he just surprised everyone!"

" Hahaha. Your right. But the most fun part was Ashley's expression. I've never seen her so dumbfounded at being asked out. Seriously guys."

" Excuse me, Hi. I am Scarlett. Do you guys know where Ashley is? Did she go home?"

" Oh Hi. Uhm no she's still here somewhere. But who are you?" The girl in the group answered.

" I am her friend. We met tonight and she told me to find her later."

" That can't be. Ashley doesn't make friends."

" You can just ask her later. So can you tell me where she is?"

" Okay, but I don't know where she is. She's been gone for a while."

" I assumed as much. I've been waiting too. Does she disappear a lot? Cause you guys don't seem worried about her."

" Yeah, and she doesn't drink and is a strong woman. We need not worry about her. And she likes to spend time alone. Whenever she feels like it, she disappears. So she's probably in some quiet corner where she can have some time to spend alone. You can go look for her in the quiet places in the bar."

" Okay. Thank you."

Scarlett left them and went to look for Ashley. She was also a little worried about her. She first went to look at the bathroom. Ashley was surely not there. Then she went around here and there wherever she found it to be quiet. Unfortunately, she didn't find her anywhere. She was beginning to get really worried.

Then a thought came to her mind and she went out of the bar. The balcony and anywhere cause no matter where, there can't be a quiet place in the bar. But outside the bar like on the balcony or maybe the smoking area or places like that, she might find her.

It had been around half an hour and she couldn't find Ashley. She was feeling really worried and thought about going back to Ashley's friends and calling her. As she hurriedly walked back inside, her eyes swept past the staircase. She paused. Then she strode towards the staircase. Soon enough she was walking up the stairs. This bar was a two-story building.

The second floor was for rich people where you could have a private room with a view to the first floor. Zoe went by the second floor and kept going up. And finally, she reached the end. She took a deep breath and opened the gate. The terrace was empty with nothing much. There wasn't much to it but the view of the streets and the empty road along with some trees on the side was beautiful. There were only a few lights and the street light was especially big.

That's what attracted Scarlett. The view gave off aesthetic and beautiful vibes that you feel at three a.m. while listening to some beautiful songs. She was surprised cause it was nothing special yet it made her want to look at the streets. That's when she heard a light humming.
