Rowan Zoological Institute, 2006
A door was closed, and the person who closed it was revealed: Jill Tuck, leaving after placing the Reverse Bear Trap 2.0 on Mark Hoffman in order to test him and grant John's last wish. She then removed the key she was wearing as a necklace around her neck.
The key around her neck was not just for opening the box John gave her, it was also for such an individual being tested in the Reverse Bear Trap 2.0 to be able to unlock it to get it out of their head before the timer ran out. She cheated because after finding out about the blackmailing letter Hoffman wrote to Amanda, she believed he crossed the line, and thus had to die.

As she threw the key to the ground, she turned, looking towards the door, expecting to hear the sound of the trap opening, gaping Mark's jaw wide and killing him. Nonetheless, something she didn't expect happened: Hoffman pushed the front part of the trap between two metal bars in the door window to prevent it from opening all the way. Eventually, he managed to pull his head out of the trap, but ripped his right cheek and was seriously injured in the process.
Horrified by what she just saw and knowing that Hoffman would come after her as soon as he recovered, Jill ran as fast as she could until she ducked behind a coat hanger with some coveralls next to a shelf of janitorial supplements.
Despite the immense pain, Mark forced himself to calm down and left the room, taking the Reverse Bear Trap 2.0 with him. Reaching the same shelf, he smeared the blackmailing letter he'd written to Amanda with his bloody hands and pocketed it, and pulled out his radio.
Hoffman: HELP!!! HELP!!!
Jill realized what he was doing: Hoffman was asking the police for help, where after rescuing him, ge could simply lie about what happened. Knowing that she will be considered a criminal and will be pursued by the police after this event, Jill left the Zoo to hide. However, she was shocked when she saw a red trycicle standing there, surrounded by two police cars, which illuminated the scene with their spotlights.
This tricycle in question was known to have been used by Billy The Puppet, the creepy ventriloquist puppet which both John and Hoffman had occasionally used as an avatar to communicate with their victims. As Jill approached the tricycle, she was suddenly attacked and subdued from behind by a male fugyre who covered his face with a sinister pig mask.

Shortly afterwards, she woke up in a standing position, between a pair of metal rails which were a few feet above the floor. To prevent her from moving away, her arms and legs were chained up. Upon hearing loud engine noises, she lifted her head and was afraid when she saw Hoffman at the other end of the room next to a large, motorized contraption with a giant blade pointing in the victim's direction.
