I'm starvin', darlin'

Let me put my lips to somethin'

Let me wrap my teeth around the world

Start carvin', darlin'

I wanna smell the dinner cookin'

I wanna feel the edges start to burn

Honey, I wanna race you to the table

If you hesitate, the gettin' is gone

I won't lie if there's somethin' to be gained

There's money to be made, whatever's still to come

Your days of winter vacation were beginning to close in on you, resembling that of sand slipping through your fingers as you tried to spend the last of your days evenly split–with your family and with Namjoon and Mina.

You and your family were able to spend a day together. The four of you got to visit the ice gardens at the city center, spending the day devouring sweet treats paired with hot chocolate. You and Jimin had a blast pairing against your parents to tackle the icy maze in the center of the ice gardens, challenging one another to see which team could make it out first. Though you and Jimin should have been the clear winners, his stubborn ass combined with your poor sense of direction is what ultimately led you both to lose against your parents.

"Youth is wasted on the young." Your mother teases as your step-father hums in agreement.

You roll your eyes at them as Jimin breathes out a scoff.

"You guys cheated!" He accuses them with wide eyes.

"And how did you come to that conclusion?" Your step-father counters in an amused tone.

"You have 50 years of experience!" He exclaims before adding, "Of course you'd navigate through that death trap easily."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, we are not that old." Your mother chimes in with a narrowing stare.

Jimin's features shift into a sheepish expression before saying, "I'm just saying, it seems pretty unfair that we lost due to our inadequate experience with life."

You roll your eyes. "Just lose with grace, you idiot." You grumble while smacking him on the arm.

Jimin sighs before muttering out a half-ass apology. You were gonna miss this when you leave for Boston. You felt a little guilty that you didn't spend enough time with your family, but the moments you have shared with them were filled with laughter.

After browsing through the city center, the four of you eventually retreat back home for a movie night. Tonight your mom was picking the movie and decided to have the guys suffer through another showing of Casablanca. Jimin grumbles as you plop beside him with some snacks.
