Disclaimer: This bonus chapter is split into three different parts. The first is from Jungkook's perspective that takes place before Mina's death. The second part of the bonus chapter is from Namjoon's perspective while he's traveling. And the last part is from Y/n's perspective. I wanted to clarify that just in case it reads a little weird. Okay, enjoy the chapter!

I can't sleep
Homesick, babe
I just wanna
Stay right next to you
If I could choose my dream
I just wanna
Stay right next to you

Jungkook had been tired when he came into work that day, months ago when Michael had first started interviewing candidates to hire for the hostess position. He had been a little irritated that Michael waited so long before trying to fill the position, but Jungkook had to just go along with it and hope Michael could find someone competent enough to fill the position.

Jungkook had been set on wanting to breeze through the preparations required at the beginning of his shift, but when Michael saddled the new girl with him for shadowing purposes, his mood had only soured more. He had tried to be frank with the girl, about quitting if she couldn't handle it, but as the night progressed, and Jungkook watched as the girl seemed to intuitively pick up the slack that happened due to their understaffed state, Jungkook's mood slowly lifted. He realized, despite her lack of experience, she was someone who wouldn't give up so easily.

As the weeks went on, and Jungkook slowly started seeing another side to y/n, the unexpected happened–he actually liked her. He didn't want that to happen, especially after knowing she had a boyfriend, but his feelings for her persisted.

Jungkook wasn't someone who often fell for a girl so easily, but whenever he was around y/n, it felt natural to just be himself. He didn't feel the need to put distance between them because she had such an inviting personality even when she's trying not to be so. Jungkook had felt his interest in her was probably because it had been a few weeks since he got any, but that wasn't the case. There were a few nights, after realizing he liked y/n, where he'd stop by a bar after dropping her off, trying to see if a blonde or brunette would satisfy his growing needs, but it was never the same. His feelings for y/n remained, stronger than ever.

"Do you need a ride home?" Jungkook asks, already knowing the answer.

Whenever they worked a closing shift together, he would take her back to her dorm building. He enjoyed those few uninterrupted moments he could share with her–y/n leaning on his back with her arms wrapped around him. For a brief moment, he could pretend that she was his and only his.

She spares him a small smile. "If it's not too much of a hassle."

He smirks back while waving her off. "It's never a hassle."

"Okay, just let me finish wiping this down and we can head out." She replies brightly before turning back to the countertop she had been cleaning up.

Jungkook understood that they were friends, at best. He never tried to push for more, but a part of him wishes he could just outright tell her how he feels. The only reason he didn't was that it would complicate things. He knows what a struggle it is to do a long-distance relationship, the last thing he wanted was to make things harder for her.
