The trip to Cerulean City was still long and quiet. The sun was shining, the grasses were swaying. It was quite relaxing until someone couldn't take the deafening silence anymore.
"Argh! I can't take it!" Mairin snapped. "Someone, please talk! It's too quiet! The silence is killing me!" She complained.
"..." Everyone looked at each other and sighed.
"Well... What do you want us to do?" Aura asked. She was never the talkative type unless it was necessary. All of her Pokémon did all the talking.
"I don't know! Talk! Sing a song! Do something! I don't care! Just fill in the silence!" Mairin shouted, speed talking away like a mad person.
"I think someone's in need of Aura's melody." Steven commented, glancing at his sister.
Aura tilted her head, but nodded. She took a deep breath to get her heart rate right and the amount of oxygen needed.
"Aura's melody?" Zoey asked.
"It's a song I made up from when I was little." Aura answered, smiling. "I've been singing it for as long as I could remember."
As they continued to walk, Aura closed her eyes and let the melody flow out of her mouth.
