EP 22: What Lies Beneath

After defeating and saving Sabrina, the Psychic Pokémon Trainer from Saffron City, our friends are in for a surprise. Today, Aura will be going hard-core on Zoey as promised to train her Pokémon for upcoming Contests. The only question is... Will Zoey and her Pokémon survive the treacherous training Aura has up her sleeves?

It was another bright day along the road and the group was camping out near a mountain, enjoying their lunch; Curry and rice!

Sitting outside, the five Pokémon Trainers were munching away on the curry and rice Cilan made, using his own recipe and a combination of Aura's herbs. It wasn't too spicy or too bland, a perfect blend with just the right amount of flavour for the stomach to digest.

Soon enough, Aura walked out of the tent and made her way to the others.

Steven was the first to notice. "Hey, Aura." He greeted. "You should eat before there's none left."

"They're really tasty!" Jin beamed, gobbling his portion down, ending his face covered in sticky rice and curry.

"These curry are great!" Cilan smiled, setting down a plate for the girl. "Spicy curry is my favourite and your herbs works wonders!"

"Yeah!" Mairin agreed, nearly finishing hers. That, and got some curry around her mouth.

"Thank you, but maybe later." Aura politely declined and turned to her Coordinator friend. "So, Zoey, how are you feeling?" She asked.

"Huh?" Zoey looked up at her, confused.

"Your wound has fully healed, but are you?" Aura rephrased.

"I feel great!" Zoey smiled. "The cream really helped and it got rid of the scar."

Aura was pleased to hear that. "Well, if that's the case, you can start your Character Training." She announced.

"Our... Character Training?" Zoey rephrased in a confused manner.

Steven choked on his water, which ended with him coughing into his fist.

"Yes." Aura clapped her hands together. "It's a test I put all of my new Pokémon through. It's vital and very important." She explained. "If they don't go through with it, I can't train them to their fullest."

"And you want Zoey and her Pokémon to do it?" Mairin guessed.

Aura nodded.

"Why do you look excited?" Alain questioned. 'I'm getting a bad feeling about this.' He thought, wondering what scheme the girl was cooking.

The male's words made the girl flinch. "I am?" She asked, surprised.

The girl's reaction made the group sweatdropped. She really is innocent.

Zoey chuckled and got up. "Alright, so how does this Character Training work?" She asked, curious.

"It's better if I show you." Aura smiled and snapped her fingers.

Soon enough, Aura, Zoey, Glameow, Misdreavus, Vulpix, Clefairy, Happiny, Purrloin, and the mutated Eeveelutions vanished from their spot.
