Chapter 5: Next Challenge

Nick looked out the window of the craft and saw a pad which they're landing on

After the craft landed Smith got up and opened the door and the three walked out onto the pad and Smith turned to Nick and Bluey

"Alright you two you guys are going to be trained on how the P.I will work in certain situations 'Smith pointed at a path' follow the path to a building and enter you should meet your next instructor on your P.I" Smith said

After Smith was done he turned back onto the craft and closed the door and the craft slowly lifted up and took off Nick and Bluey waved goodbye to the craft and started walking on the path that Smith pointed at

"I wonder what situations we'll be under" Bluey said

"Probably just what to do under fire type of situations" Nick said

"You think so?" Bluey said

"I don't know probably, but I'm just assuming that" Nick said

After Nick said that he sees the building that Smith talked about it's a big oval shaped building that's three levels tall and has a white base with blue outline covering the building which seems to be glowing

The two walked to the front of the building which has a sign on the front which says "recruitment testing facility"

They walked inside and they saw a group of people who were looking at a screen doing work and there another group of dogs running tests on something that Nick can't really wrap his head around

Nick didn't get time to react after someone spoke to them

"You guys the recruits?" A dog spoke

"Oh yeah are you our instructor?" Nick responded

"Yeah come along with me" the dog said with a wave to follow

They walked into a room which has white walls with a brown base and has two tables on opposite sides of the room which to assume that one of them is for the instructor and after the two came into the room the dog closed the door and flipped a switch

"Alright you two" the dog spoke

"Name's rook and I'm your P.I instructor" Rook said

Nick looked at Rook who's a german shepherd wearing a suit with purple lines on the wrists and collar and he has a look that'll put you in your place if you talk back to him

"Heard you two were the first ones to come here which is impressive it usually takes recruits days to get here after getting on the planet" Rook said

"Day's?" Bluey said

"Yeah they don't really have a good sense of direction, but that's most of the old P.I system we used a new one that you guys have" Rook said

Rook looked around and put his arm up and swiped through the air which made Nick and Bluey look at each other

"Oh yeah you two don't know what I'm doing, I'm just reading on what we're doing today and that is what our first lesson will be" Rook said as he poked the air and a screen was dropping down from the ceiling

"Alright you guys are equipped with our newest P.I system 'the screen shows a head that has the P.I system embedded inside' and which is more advanced than the last you guys have more features that the old system couldn't do" Rook said as the screen moves to a different slide

"You guys are able to see different screens inside your head which display information and or maps of planets that have been mapped and able to see status of different users which you two might have experienced one of those features once you guys arrived" Rook said

"But the best part of the new system is a user interface which you two are able to enable if you think of P.I UI in your head" Rook said

"P.I UI" Nick thought which brought up the interface which was neat because it shows his heart rate how well his body is and shows a mini map on the corner of his vision

"Once you've done that you can think of P.I UI off and it'll turn it off, but the best part of the UI allows you to highlight items you need to find quickly by thinking of the item and the system will scan your vision of said item" Rook said

"Alright once you guys get used to those features will go into our test" Rook said

The two nodded to move on with the test

"Alright you guys are going to help an injured by administering the correct aid to them" Rook said that and poked the air and the table open to reveal a mannequin with a first aid kit on top of it

"You guys got 10 minutes to save this mannequin from an injury your time starts now" Rook said and the two went to work

"Alright you look at the mannequin and I'll grab the tools necessary" Nick said

"Okay... Uh the mannequin has a hole in its side and the system says we need gauze and bandages for this wound" Bluey said

Nick grabbed the gauze and bandages for Bluey and gave them to her and she applied the gauze and bandages to the wound

"Alright you guys got the hang on it" Rook said as he looked at the mannequin

"You guys got basic medical training out the way now you'll need fire arm training go to the second floor and head to the room which has a yellow tag on the side" Rook said as he opened the door and the two walked out and head to the elevator

Nick noticed something with Bluey

"Hey something wrong?" Nick asked

"Oh... Uh I never shot a gun before I'm kinda scared about it" Bluey said

"Don't worry I never shot one either it'll be a learning experience for the both of us" Nick said

"Okay" Bluey said which made her better knowing she's not the only one

The two got into the elevator and headed up to the second floor
