At some point during the memory, Len came back to reality and noticed his surroundings.

He remembered that report card memory. He remembered all the times he was given a report card with failing grades.
He remembered being forced to eat food he didn't like. He remembered being bullied. He remembered the grief and pain that came with losing his parents.
He remembered times where he couldn't watch TV or play games to distract himself. He remembered being forced to study subjects he just couldn't grasp.
He remembered the pain of being hit, the heartbroken feeling he got when Haku yelled at him, the burn of tears welling up in his eyes, the lump in his throat before he began to cry.

It stuck with him... These memories altered how his brain worked from then on.
They were traumatizing.

Len took a deep breath.
He still refused to cry.

He stared at Haku filled with anger.
Filled with rage.
Filled with fury.

Haku couldn't think of anything to say.
No one could.

As Len stared, he noticed the world around him blur and darken a bit.
He couldn't think straight- his thoughts were fuzzy.

Len collapsed.

"He passed out!!?" Rin shrieked. "Guys, he passed out!"

"He must have lost so much blood that he fainted!" Neru continued.

"Is he still breathing? See if he's breathing!" Miku added.

"What are we gonna do?!" Teto sobbed. "What are we gonna do about ALL of this...?"

Since the girls were all ghosts, they couldn't do anything to help.
It was hopeless.
So they just sat around him, waiting to see if he would wake up.

Haku just stared.

Some part of her felt guilty, but she was too stubborn to admit it to herself.

Lucian stood behind her.
"You know most of this is your fault. Admit it, victim."

Haku didn't look at him.
"It's not. Normal people don't get like this from discipline."

"Normal people aren't disciplined like that." Lucian responded.

Haku watched the girls sit around Len.
They didn't say anything. They silently watched him lay there.

"Admit it, victim." Lucian pressed on.

"No." Haku persisted.

Lucian smiled. "Well, perhaps the eternity in Hell will convince you."

Haku was astonished. "Eternity in Hell?! For what??"

Lucian giggled. "I knew humans were stupid, but not this stupid."

"I am not stupid. I am a good person. And good people make sure the children under their care don't grow up into spoiled brats. And good people don't go to Hell." Haku explained.
