"Len!!! Len!!!" Rin called.
It was the first day of kindergarten. Up until that point, Rin and Len were always together. They would never spend more than an hour apart.
However, they were put into separate kindergarten classes, so they had to go to the classes by themselves. After the school day ended, Rin and Len were finally reunited.
"Len!!" Rin cheered. She had missed her dear brother all day, and couldn't bear to spend another second without him.
"Hi Rin," Len responded. He had spent the day zoning out and playing with his hands. To him, the school day seemed to breeze by.
Rin ran over to Len, and she wrapped him a warm embrace.

"And another thing," the voice continued, "is that humans have a lot of guilt in them. How pitiful! Some people can't even steal without guilt, much less kill!! At least you're so stoic that you don't feel guilt, right kid?"
Len was too busy playing with his hands to pay attention.
"This human is so annoying sometimes." The voice grumbled. "KID!!"
The sudden raise in volume startled Len. "Hey! What's the big idea?"
"The 'big idea' is that I'm talking to you!! No wonder everyone hated you, you're so oblivious and ignorant!" The voice responded.
Len was way too used to hearing this, so it did not phase him.
He continued his activity. He tried to weave his fingers together like a basket, but his joints prevented him from getting too far.
He tried moving each finger separately, and wondered by the pinky couldn't move without the ring finger moving along with it.
He made various shapes with his fingers, like squares, triangles, and ovals. When trying to make a diamond shape, he accidentally moved a finger the wrong way and the shape vaguely resembled a heart. He stopped.
Len thought about the concept of love. The darkest part of his soul despised it, found it extremely repulsive and wanted to murder anyone who has ever felt it.
He remembered a time where he wasn't like this. Times in middle school where his classmates would ask each other on dates. Everyone seemed to ask everyone else to become a couple.
Everyone... except him.
"Shut up about love, you creature!" The voice growled. "I can hear your thoughts and they disgust me."
"Okay, fine." Len said in response.
He looked up at the void's 'sky.' It was as white and infinite as every direction around him."I wish this void was black instead." Len remarked. "It would be a lot easier to sleep in."
"I guess if you really needed sleep, it would be nice for it to be comfortable." The voice responded.
Len remembered all those times the voice prevented him from sleeping soundly. It wasn't easy to sleep while someone chanted "kill" in your head every second of the night.
"Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill."
It was so ingrained in his mind, he could almost hear it clearly.
"Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill. Kill."
The urges to murder began to grow larger.
"If you're thirsty, it's good to take live blood."
Len realized what was happening.
"HEY!" He shouted. "Shut up and leave me alone!"
The voice snickered. "Your face is so funny when you start succumbing to your inner bloodlust!!!"
"You told me I wouldn't have urges once I achieved my goal!" Len shouted.
"I told you. Human habits, human instinct, human fallacy. You know, all that." The voice explained once again.
Len was irritated. "You never told me about this before."
"Look kid," the voice answered. "I'm not human, I don't know why human minds are so feeble and malleable and fragile! I've only talked to a few humans before, and one of them was some kid who shot up a school. But then he committed suicide, and it was a waste. It wasn't nearly enough for... peace and joy. Plus, the suicide was so stupid and uncalled for. 'Ohhhh I fEeL sO gUiLtY,' what an imbecile."
Len's urges began to show though his face; and he put on his trademark maniacal smile.
He giggled. "No remorse is way more fun. They were extremely annoying anyway, and they only hurt me."
"That's the enthusiasm I like, kid!" The voice cheered. "You are a disgusting serial killer, but I'm proud that I raised you to be so determined. Unlike that school shooter kid."
Len was happy to hear this. He didn't really know why, but he didn't dwell on it. He was manic.
"I'm glad they're all gone. I'm glad I killed them all. And I'm glad that I will never see them again."
"Hey Len!"
That voice. That wasn't the voice, it was different. It was feminine. It was high pitched. It sounded...
Annoying.
"Len! How are you doing?"
The new voice... touched his shoulder?
