"I don't get it. Why would you choose to date him?", Yizhuo asks again
"Is there another way?", Renjun worries
"They can't break the deal anyway.", Jisung seriously said, "You should think about it carefully before asking a demon, Caryl."
"I thought about it many times! The deal.. it slipped my mind that demons can't escape the deal until it's done."
"You could've asked beforehand?"
"I'm sorry, Ji."
The only demon among them sighed.
Jisung doesn't get it. Why does she have to date– fake date another demon just to get rid of her marriage? He understand her in so many ways, especially about this union that she's a part of. If anything, Jisung is willing to help her if ever she needed someone.
Jisung thought she's planning to get rid of it by herself, considering that she's not asking them anymore. Now, another demon is involved?
No, Jisung. You should've asked her first if she needs help. That's what a true friend does.
"Hey, don't think about it too much.", Jeno who's beside him says
"I just don't get it."
"Hmm Yizhuo too.", Jeno jerked his head to the direction
Yizhuo has been saying that for long minutes now. She's been asking again and again, why Lee Donghyuck? Does his presence became a considerable luck at that time? Why did he agree?
"I don't personally know him, but I will if I have to.", Renjun says
Yizhuo nodded, "Do you still think that it's just a fake date thing? Remember you've been close since that night."
"That night changed everything. It was the start of their connection.", Jisung interjected, "I'm sorry, Caryl, but I feel like there's really something between you two. I don't think you'll just end up in this situation."
"What do you mean?", Caryl scoffs, "Is this about the destiny thing again?"
"I'll ask around about Lee Donghyuck and his connection with all the Lee demons. Minhyung is also Lee. They might have a little connection."
"You're all about this connection, Jisung. I'm getting PTSD with that word.", Renjun massaged his temples
Jisungs sighs, "Yes, this is about the destined partners. There's a big possibility that Caryl and Donghyuck are destined. Donghyuck must've felt something– a pull, because why else he's still clinging on her? He should've grown tired on following a single human around."
"Annoy her?", Jeno suggests
Jisung shook his head, "I'll ask around.", he only said, "For now, just stick to whatever.. deal you have with him. If you're destined, then your soul's connection should grow over time. You'll feel it too."
"See? Soulmates.", Jeno proudly said as if he's pushing the right answer for a long time
"I still don't get it.", Yizhuo says while blankly staring onto nowhere
Renjun sighed and pats her back, "Just consider it as something like a plan for Caryl to be free from the unwanted union. It's better to think of it like that."
