SUPERNATURAL FILES #3: 3 AM

CHAPTER 5

Donghyuck took his own sweet time to laze around after their teacher announced that she won't proceed to the lesson today.

Instead of going through the assignment to be passed next week, the demon just sat on his chair and watched the football training through the window with his airpods on. 

He momentarily forgot that he was supposed to meet Jaemin anytime this afternoon, and when he remembered, he pushed his lethargic body up and swung his bag over his shoulders. He also used his left free hand to text the other about his whereabouts.

Donghyuck encountered several people who walked up to him and had a little chat while he walks towards the Snack Bar. He didn't mind, yet thankful that it was only for a short time.

He felt hungry when he entered the cozy bar that's full of snacks, fast foods, and drinks, spotting Jaemin right away. 

Seems as though the other felt his presence, Jaemin looked up and immediately saw the new-comer. He waved while beaming a smile.

"What's up?", Jaemin greeted

Donghyuck sat in front of him with a sigh, "A little sleepy."

"Oh is it the weather? The sun is at its peak for some time now."

"Maybe"

"Hungry?", Jaemin offered a snack, "The fries is superb, you should buy. They just opened the stall this day."

Donghyuck followed to where he is pointing and saw a small stall that is packed with people around. He shrugged.

"Too many people."

Jaemin chuckled, "Anyway, I was just asking your guys' company if you're available. Chenle is, but he's lazy to hangout. Not gonna lie, I don't have high hopes for you."

"Really", Donghyuck scoffed, "Well, I don't have anything up my sleeve today."

"Mm I can see that.", Jaemin agreeably nodded and sipped on his coffee, "Ah, what about the human?"

Donghyuck raised a brow.

"What's her name again? Cara? Carrie?"

Donghyuck rolled his eyes, "Caryl"

"Mhm yeah, Caryl. I already mistook you as her clingy boyfriend."

"Na Jaemin", he sighed

"You do look like one!", Jaemin proves, "So have you thought about what I said?"

"The what?"

"Connection? Destiny?"

"For the nth time, Jaemin.", Donghyuck grumbled

"I just want you to think about it, okay? Just maybe."

"Destiny doesn't work on me."

"You're just saying that because you're never into one. Have she summoned again?"

"No. I don't know.", yet his tone expressed his doubt, in which Jaemin never missed

"Hyuck?"

Donghyuck sighed, "Just because it happened to you, doesn't mean it has the same effect to me."

"That's the most basic thing, come on. Gyuri called multiple times and I was the only one who can hear it. There's that pull, you know? She was calling for demons in general, but it felt like it was directly for me. Didn't you felt that when Caryl summoned the first time?"
