Caryl forced herself to forget the talk with Minhyung, trying her best not to think about it as she pushed the whole conversation on the deepest part of her brain.

In order to do it, though surprising, Caryl wholly focused to the class discussion. She diligently took notes on her notebook and highlighted the books. She also actively participated in the recitation, honestly surprising the teachers. They complimented her multiple times.

Her classmates teased her of her energy in class too, though Caryl never really minded it all and just answered them once or twice with a big smile.

Anyway, she did momentarily forgot about her time with the half-demon, continuing to lunch where she accepted herself to dine alone because her friends have their own businesses to attend to.

Patiently waiting in a long line, Caryl saw Donghyuck walking towards the end of the line. There she only realized that she didn't saw him the whole morning.

We have History together.. okay so?

"What do you like to have today?"

Caryl immediately shifted her attention to the kitchen lady serving the lunch.

"Ah! I'll have two cups of rice, one serving of chicken nuggets, and pepsi, please.", she smiles

"I'll get that.", someone popped up out of nowhere, making her leap in shock

"Thathey!"

The demon only smiled then carried her tray with one hand, then a plastic of burger on the other.

Caryl quickly followed behind him, figured that calling him to stop is only not effective and she will just look like someone who's talking to the air.

Once he settled on a table for two and comfortably sat on the chair, Caryl followed through, looking at him with confuse written on her face.

"What do you want?", she asks after taking the seat in front of him

"Thank you for carrying my tray, Hyuck.", Donghyuck sarcastically said

Caryl rolled her eyes, "Will you eat only that?"

"What do you mean? Three burgers are enough.", he answers while rummaging through the plastic

"Three?"

"Oh", Donghyuck nodded, "Bacon and egg, cheese, and regular.", he listed the flavors

"You're amazing", she sarcastically said

"Thanks, I know."

Ignoring him, Caryl only started eating and he did too.

Silence stayed between them for the first time, just devouring their foods and did only that.

Caryl glanced at him, assuming that the demon really like the burgers as he occasionally make agreeable faces as he takes a bite.

He still have half a burger left when she finished her food, only sipped her Pepsi to the last drop.

"Ahh you finished it all.", Donghyuck suddenly said

"What?"

"Pepsi. I was thinking of drinking it."

"Excuse me, it was mine."

"Oh come on, you're not worried of someone eating without a drink?"

"It's not even my fault that you didn't bought a drink."

"I hate that you have a point."

"Mm sure you do."

Silence only stayed a minute this time, when Donghyuck started conversing to the people on the table beside them whom Caryl is unfamiliar with.

And in a very slight chance of her school life, she met eye contact with her half-sister grinning at her, sitting on a far distance from them.

Bet she will tell the parents about this.

"Donghyuck"

"Wait a second. Yeah?", he immediately dismissed the others then flashed his attention to her

"Lee family, right? Is your family in the union too?"

"The union.. uhh demons and humans?"

Caryl nodded

"Hmm they are."

"Are you in it too?"

"I'm not"

"Oh, okay"

"Why?"

"Nothing..", she flashed a small smile and then placed the empty plates back to the tray, "We should go. We're in the same class, right?"

"Ahh yes", Donghyuck only followed through
