Y/N's POV
"So what do you think your mom would make for dinner," I said lying down."W-Well sh-she was making c-chicken noodle s-soup for a w-while. Th-That was during the s-school year though. S-She'll probably make s-something easy."
"Maybe spaghetti or burgers then. Pretty simple. Anyway, what's with Georgie's room?"
"O-Oh u-uh. W-We don't g-go in there a-anymore r-really."
"Too much painful memories?"
"Y-Yeah..."
Bill stood up and looked towards me, "w-w-wanna s-see i-it?"
I sat up and looked at him, "are you sure you wanna go back in there? Will you be alright?"
He nodded and I stood up, he grabbed my hand and led me to the room. He opened the door and had me walk in first. I looked around. Everything looked like it hadn't been touched since Georgie went missing.
"His room looks so tame. As if nothing bad ever happened to him..."
"Y-Yeah... i-it's hard t-to deal with," he said. We then heard noise behind us and we looked. We sighed in relief seeing Mrs. Denbrough.
"There you two are. I was calling for you and you didn't come down. I checked Bill's room but clearly you're not in there," she said gesturing to the room.
"I'm s-s-sorry m-mom," Bill told her and then we walked out of the room, closing the door behind us. We followed her downstairs to the kitchen and saw food already dished up. Mr. Denbrough was already sitting down and eating. We all sat down, Mrs. Denbrough next to her husband and me next to Bill. There was spaghetti in tomato sauce, a salad already dressed with Italian dressing, and a glass of water.
"Thank you Mrs. Denbrough, this looks delicious," I told her then grabbed my fork and dug in. We all ate the food as I felt uncomfortable glances from Mr. Denbrough. Have I been the only one to spend the night here? At least in a while. Or is it because I'm a girl.
"So Y/N, what happened to you that made you have to spend the night," Mr. Denbrough asked.
"Oh uh, I got really scuffed up while we were hanging out earlier. It was pretty bad to the point I didn't feel comfortable going home alone while riding my bike."
"Huh," he said, "did you have a run in with that Bowers kid? I heard he treats other kids badly."
"Y-Yeah, it was kind of scary," I lied to him. I saw Bill glance over towards me.
"Y-Yeah, h-h-he torments our f-friend g-g-group," Bill told his dad. He nodded in response and got more salad for himself. After he finished, he stood up.
"Well I hope you feel better Y/N," Mr. Denbrough said, he then kissed his wife on the cheek and spoke to her, "I'll be in the garage dear."
She nodded and watched him walk away then Bill spoke up, "t-that felt t-te-tense."
"You know how your father is, Billy," she said in response.
"It did feel somewhat awkward. I hope I'm not intruding too much," I told her while looking at my plate.
"Don't worry, I'll talk to him later. He just isn't used to some things at the moment. It probably felt weird for there to be four people at the table tonight."
"That makes sense. I just don't want to intrude. I do appreciate the hospitality though," I told her.
"It's not a problem, just try not to get more hurt these next few days, it looks like there's bruising forming."
