Y/N's POV
I woke up with a sigh. The sun was shining right in my face. I decided to go to the arcade and try to win some prizes from the claw machine. I grabbed my bag and stuffed it full of bills and quarters. I sat it down on my bed then quickly got dressed in a nice cozy outfit that hid the gauze wraps. As I put it on, I felt a lot less pain than the days before."Must be close to healed," I whispered to myself as I walked downstairs and went to the kitchen, grabbing a granola bar. I ate it as I walked outside to my bike and went all the way to the arcade.
"Is that Richie's bike," I whispered to myself again. I shrugged and went inside, hearing all the noises from everyone and everything. I went straight to one of the claw machines, one for candy and keychains. It was right next to the coin machine that takes bills and gives quarters in return.
I ended up winning some candy and turned around to look at the other games. I noticed that Richie was actually here, playing the Street Fighter game. I went to PAC-Man and played some rounds of that and smiled widely as I won one round. I then shrugged and went to another claw machine. This one had a ton of stuffed animals, from small to large.
"Let's do this," I told myself as I tried to win a few times, miserably failing. As I focused on getting a medium sized clown stuffed animal, I got pushed to the floor.
"So childish, Y/N! You act like a five year old," Henry Bowers screamed. I looked up in shock and shook my head.
"You know what's childish! You acting like this! You'll never have a girlfriend or even a wife!"
He immediately turned red and I tried to scramble to get up and run. He grabbed me by my shirt, "your outfit is just as babyish as you are, bitch."
I glared at him then kicked him in the balls, "go screw your dad!" I then ran out the front and grabbed my bike, getting away as fast as I could. As I was leaving, I heard more screaming. I heard 'Tozier' so he got noticed too. I heard someone running as I tried to bike away as fast as possible. I looked around quickly and saw Richie.
"Y/N! Wait," Richie yelled as he got on his bike and headed towards me, away from bowers.
"What," I said as he ended up coming up right next to me.
"We gotta go hide out somewhere."
"Why? Because we just won a fight with Bowers?"
"More so because we pissed him off."
"I guess that's fair. I think my dad is still home. He's a cop. Works with Bowers' dad."
"How is that a good and bad thing," Richie said shaking his head.
"So that's a yes to my place being a hide out. Gotcha."
He nodded and we rode all the way back to my house. We put our bikes in the backyard, to not get spotted and came in through the back door.
"Hey dad," I yelled, "you still home?"
"Yeah! Got work in two hours though," he called from the living room. Richie and I walked into the living room to see him.
"Another guy, Y/N? How many boyfriends do you have?"
"Ew," both of us responded.
"She's not my type," Richie said.
"Yeah. He acts like he has the hots for someone else in our friend group," I laughed.
"Well don't get hurt by them. It doesn't always works out in the end. My wife and I somehow are surprisingly not in that category."
"What does that mean," Richie asked super confused.
"Just think of the opposites attract thing. That's what happened," I told him.
