Chapter 21

-3rd POV-

5 hours left until the regulars announcement.

Central Dining Room

"Rin-kun, is your nose, uh...okay...?" Tokimitsu questioned him as he passed by, seeing him eating with a bandage on his nose and a small tissue sticking out his nostril.

"Yeah. It's stopped bleeding." He said, chewing, "Never mind that, where'd that antennae freak go?"

"The announcement said they were taking him to the "Punishment Room"...He was unconscious though."

In the back, a nervous Igarashi was eating.

"5 hours left...5 more hours..." He would mutter to himself, fidgeting in his seat, "I wonder if I'll get chosen...There's 11 spots, so maybe..."

"You've got a snowball's chance in hell, Igaguri." Raichi said, eating, "You even making it to the third selection is a goddamn miracle. Fucking trash monk."

"What?! It's not like you scored goals either, Raichi!"

"Shut the fuck up, don't bring that shit up! You didn't have to say it, y'think I didn't know?!"

"If I'm out, you're out too! I'm allowed to dream dammit!"

Isagi was silently listening and eating.

I did score a goal...aside from the Top 6, the only ones who scored besides me, were Bachira, Barou, and Reo...If that's the selection criteria, then I've got a chance...and when it comes down to it, I don't even care which position...I just want to be chosen...! I want to play against the U-20 players. In that place where I can change my destiny...I want to fight!

Ego tapped on the tablet, looking through everything as (Y/n) was quietly doing her own thing.

The door opened and Anri walked in, noticing how the two were silent.

"Have you two reached a decision, Ego-san...? (Y/n)-chan?"

"...Yup. "Too many cooks spoil the broth." Anri-chan..." Ego said, scratching his head.

"Huh?"

"In order to seize victory...there are certain talents that get away."

Her eyes widen a bit when her phone went off, making her take it out. She answered and looked at the male, "There's someone on the line for you! Ego-san!"

The said male looked up from the tablet, "Who is it? At this fucking important time?"

"It's president Buratsuta...!"

The blue lock boys met at the central room, watching the few seconds go down.

"Ugh...I'm so nervous!" Nanase exclaimed, feeling his heart about to burst out of his chest.

"Take care your heart don't leap out." Hiori said.

"Wait...Where's Shidou?" Igarashi said, looking around.

"Prolly still chilling in the punishment room." Raichi said.

"It's almost time..." Tokimitsu said.

Aryu nodded, "Yeah."

Isagi was ready for the announcement.
