Chapter 9

When he took it, I said 'Welcome back, So Mun Oppa.' 

Everyone was busy feeding So Mun since he woke up. I sat beside So Mun and Mo-Tak was sitting on the other side of So Mun. Oppa came and sat beside me, So Mun asked for a second, who happily added more food. Oppa stood and added kimchi to So Mun's plate saying 'Take your time and eat. You must have been famished.' So Mun said 'It's so crunchy. What is this? Did you make it?' Oppa replied laughing 'What? That's the chef's secret. Have some water too.' I stopped Oppa and passed So Mun hot water saying 'It'll help you digest.' Jang-Mul added more meat to So Mun's plate as well. 

So Mun ate and stopped eating, he looked at everyone present and said 'Thank you for protecting me. I will never again abandon my family and run away. Thank you for being patient and believing in me.' Hana Unnie said 'We're not helpless without you. If we had more time, we would've summoned Hwang Pil-Gwang and Ma Ju-Seok.' Mo-Tak added 'Of course. Hey, Mun, you should've been there. I flew in the air and landed a punch.' Jang-Mul added 'It was all thanks to me, I showed up with my huge submachine gun.' He then demonstrated making the gun noise it was kind of funny. Oppa then stood up saying 'Hey, Let me take some credit too. You have to know that I played a big role in capturing Gelly.' So Mun replied 'I know that already. You told me many times already.' Mo-Tak then said 'You could hear us?' Mae-Ok said 'I told you to take turns to care for him. Were you boasting all that time?' Jang-Mul then said 'I just thought I'd entertain him while he was asleep.' 

So Mun then said 'So, What happened to Ma Ju-Seok?' Mae-Ok replied 'Mun, you just woke up. Let's take it slowly, Okay?' So Mun replied 'No, I'm Okay. Do you think Ma Ju-Seok and Hwang Pil-Gwang have teamed up?' Hana unnie said 'No, he will never side with Hwang Pil-Gwang. When Mun woke up, the territory opened up wide, It covered the entire city.' Mo-Tak asked 'Did you see anyone? Hwang Pil-Gwang and Ma Ju-Seok?' Hana Unnie replied 'The area was so large that I couldn't locate them. But Hwang Pil-Gwang was trying to stab Ma Ju-Seok with a piece of glass.' Mae-Ok then said 'Don't tell me, he is planning to kill Ma Ju-Seok and consume his power?' Hana Unnie replied 'Maybe. He probably thought he couldn't absorb Mun's power.' So Mun added 'Then, what we were fearing the most could actually happen. The evil spirits could become one.' Mo-Tak said 'It'd be our first time facing a fully-formed evil spirit.' Hana Unnie then said 'It's a risky situation, but it's also an opportunity. We can summon Ma Ju-Seok while he's alone. We may not know Pil-Gwang's plan but we know where Ma Ju-Seok is headed.' I said in a low voice 'Lee Chung-Jae.'

Jang-Mul said 'What's going on? Does Ma Ju-Seok really know about our hideout or not?' So Mun asked 'Ma Ju-Seok knows where we are? How?' Hana Unnie answered 'There's one more thing you should you. I think Ma Ju-Seok met your grandmother while you were unconscious.' So Mun looked shocked and asked 'Why would he?' 

After dinner, I was lying down inside the fighting ring when So Mun came and sat beside me. I looked towards him and he said 'Thanks for the flowers.' I replied 'I just had it in my room so, I gave it to you.' He then said 'Hana Unnie told me that you were the one who fought Gelly.' I replied 'I did it because I knew the darkness inside the container would be to my advantage.' He laid down and said 'I want you to introduce me to your grandparents as your girlfriend.' I looked at him and immediately got on top of him and shut his mouth with my hands. He sat up and pulled my hands saying 'Didn't you realize I could hear everything.' I replied 'Clearly not, otherwise I wouldn't have said those things.' He smiled and said 'Then, I wouldn't have known about your feelings for me.' I replied 'Shut up.' I stood up and he also stood up; came close to my face and said 'Do you want to meet my grandparents tomorrow?' I didn't know what to say, I just closed my lips thinking of an answer. He laughed slightly and said 'I am meeting them tomorrow, come with me.' He was walking away and before he went he said 'I prefer you call me Oppa.' I replied 'You wish.'
