Any morning begins with the sun rising. With a small amount of mist covering the ground. It is seven o' one. The door to my house opened. The house has an attic, a second floor, a main floor, and a basement. My father, or most people would call him, Mr. Oakleaf. He has dark skin and has blue eyes. He likes to be clean shaven. Then three more people left my house, three kids. I'm the oldest. My name is Fred. My hair is straight, even if it is short. Then we have my little sister and little brother. My sister is the middle child. Her name is Ruth. My little brother's name is Houston. We all felt glad going to school. Mom closed and locked the front door. She has long curly hair. But her curls are just as small as the ones on my head. She also has dark skin, and she has green eyes. Dad had just started up the red Pontiac SUV that we would ride on to get to school. It's Mom's car actually. There is a black Cadillac sedan that is parked on the left. Sometimes, we would be riding the black sedan to get to different places. I would be usually sitting on the right back seat.
Houston will always complain if he didn't sit in the middle. That's where he was sitting today. Ruth would take any available seat. "Alright, is everybody buckled in?" Dad demanded. "Yes!" My siblings and I replied in unison. The car started to back out of the small driveway. Before I talk about what happened next, let me talk a bit more about myself. I have green eyes and my favorite subject at school is math. But there is something else about me. I have autism. I have a tendency to get nervous about anything new. I don't have anything to be worried about. I have a family that loves me. Ruth and Houston get along great with me. They think I am the best big brother anybody could wish for. I actually love Ruth and Houston. They are not annoying, and they don't bother me when I want to be left alone. Though I don't need anytime to be alone. I like being around people. My parents are proud that I do this. They think that it will help me out a lot before I grow up into an adult. The place that I live is Action Avenue. It's a street where the local kids get together and play with each other. This street belongs to the town called Dream Falls. This town has a reputation for being a quiet town. Though the residents like to get together on the weekends. They let their kids play in the street or in their own backyards. That's what I look forward to every week. There is one other detail about Dream Falls that not everybody know about. It's located in the territory of Southeast Territory. It's a part of Canada's four territories and ten provinces. From what I've learned in geography class, it's located south of Quebec and New Brunswick. The eastern part of the territory touches the Atlantic Ocean. I know that the states are south of us according to a geography class. Our province only touches one state on the west: New York. The states of Maine, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Vermont, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts also touch the Atlantic Ocean. They are south of the Southeast Territory. Maine is well known for it's seafood. The southern part of this territory also touches the Atlantic. There is an ocean port there.
Even though that Crab is not a giant town, it has the biggest ocean port imaginable. I heard that the city is also expanding. The capital of our province is Soccaler. This capital got its name because of all of the soccer players that came to immigrate there. I really enjoy playing soccer with my friends. The weather here is pretty nice. We don't have any heavy storms or hurricanes. For some reason, this province is the luckiest when it comes to that. There are hardly any accidents on the road. In the winter, there were no accidents caused by ice or snow. The only complaint that I would have about living in this province is the mist. It's always around. Whether it's just covering the ground, or it's just making driving difficult. My brother and sister all have green eyes like me. My little brother doesn't any hair. He thinks that he is special out of the family. Ruth always keeps her hair in a ponytail. Dad made sure that no other cars were coming in either direction. He had the front of the car aimed so that it would be heading for the school. Houston is about four years old. Ruth is about nine years old. As for myself, I am about eleven years old. I like going to school. I am interested in learning something new. The car rolled along the road. I felt very lucky living in a place like Dream Falls. Suddenly, Dad stopped the car. The tires squealed a bit. "What's going on?" I questioned. "That doesn't look good." Mom observed. "What's happening? What's happening?" Houston demanded while sitting in his booster seat. "It looks like there might be an accident." Dad answered. I couldn't tell what was going on. "Stay here. I'll take a look." He insisted. There was a breeze that blew on his left. "The weather forecast didn't call for cold winds." Dad commented. Just then, there was something that blew into the car. It looked like a piece of paper.
