The time this story happened was at the last weekend of February. That's when Autism Awareness Day occurred. The Autism organization in the territory arranged for us to show up at city hall on Sunday. That's the day when Autism Awareness day happens. I told Nigel the news at lunchtime after I learned about it yesterday evening. "You must be lucky to be heading to city hall. I don't know about many other events that happen at city hall besides that." Nigel voiced. Then I noticed his face changed again. His face was made up of mist. I could barely see all of the facial features on it. The face changed again. It went back to its normal self. I wasn't sure if the other classmates nearby would even see that. "Maybe we should play some soccer." I suggested. "I like the sound of that idea Fred. Thinking about going to city hall must be making you excited all over." Nigel replied. That's what I did at the schoolyard. There were other classmates that joined for the game. The mist that was out on this cold day covered only the street. Nobody could tell if there was a piece of paper on the road surface. There was also a cloud of mist that covered the entire roof of the school building. Though we didn't see that.

After playing, we all went back to class. I was sitting at my desk while listening to what Mrs. Murai has to say during the class. That's when something weird happen. Mrs. Murai turned invisible. I couldn't believe my eyes. "Can't be." I whispered to myself. "Can't be what?" Mr. Burgos questioned. I turned back to face him. Then I turned to look back at the teacher. She wasn't invisible anymore. She was writing something on the board. I looked back at my EA and told him that I thought that I might have been seeing things. "I don't know about that. There have been some strange things that happened at this school before." Mr. Burgos stated. "What do you mean?" I pumped. "Didn't you remember the chimera?" He grilled. "I do." I responded. The teacher got us to take some notes afterwards. I tried my best to write down all of the notes that were written on the board. Mrs. Murai disappeared right in front of me. I couldn't believe what was going on then. I wasn't sure if my eyes were playing tricks on me. Then I had a vision. I remembered it since it was about the crossing guard and the kids that she was helping to cross the road. I still couldn't believe it. Then the vision faded in my eyes. I stared at the board. Then I wrote down the rest of the notes written on the board. The other students finished writing their notes. I couldn't help but look at Cassie. She was staring emotionlessly at the board. I thought that she might want to write down more notes. Then I noticed her face was different in an instant. There was some zombie like features that appeared on her.

She was making quiet grunting sounds. Mrs. Murai walked over to the students. She was wondering if they had written down what was written on the board. I had my notes laying in front of me on my desk. The teacher gave a serious expression to each student as she checked everybody. I was shocked in my mind when the teacher passed Cassie. She still had her zombie like face on her, but she didn't seem to be scaring the teacher. After the teacher passed her, a second later, her face was back to its old self again. After examining each student's notes, Mrs. Murai walked back to the board. She felt determined to teach until the day was over. The students were starting to get a bit tired. Then end of the school day happened after a long while. After the bell rang, everyone of us stood up. We all went to our lockers. I looked back at Mr. Burgos for the last time today, his face was not his usual face. It looked like a giant fly head was on his body instead of his regular head. The EA teacher waited until everybody was out of the classroom. I got on the bus like I normally do. The kids who usually get on the bus with me sat next to me. We all talked about the day. Then I noticed that Nigel's head has turned into a misty like head. It was hard to see through it, almost like looking at a thick wall of mist. Nigel had this same head for the rest of the bus trip. The students in the bus were talking to him and they didn't seem to be noticing his new head. I wasn't sure about how they would be not bothered by it. Then again, maybe I had the power to see what kind of monsters my classmates and the teacher were turning into. I do remember seeing Mr. Burgos' past. Then I thought about Nigel's past, and Cassie's past. Did they deserve to be turned into monsters? Maybe the territory has plans for them that I am not supposed to understand. After a bus ride, I soon arrived at my neighborhood. Nigel got off with me. Just like on any other day, we went to play soccer on one of the backyards of one the neighbors. We had such a great time. When the kid's parents got back, that's when we had to leave. Nigel had his regular head back once we got out from the neighbor's backyard. I felt so used to seeing it that it doesn't even bother me one bit. I waited for my parents to come back. There was a thick layer of mist on the front lawn. It must have been thick as a pile of papers. For some reason, the snow doesn't get bigger than that.
