Doctor's office

The day after, I was scheduled to go to the doctor's office. I didn't know what was worse. Though finding out what was wrong with me should be important. Then I thought about my origin from the nightmare. Mom and Dad were worried about me. The day I woke up from the nightmare, I ended up staying home. Mom was watching over me that day. Dad ended up taking all of my siblings to school. Mom did talk to me during lunch and supper. She tried to figure out what had caused me to go into a state like that. The day I was scheduled to go to the doctor's office went like this. I had gotten up from bed like I usually do. I went to get some breakfast. The whole family was at the table waiting for me. "Are you okay Fred?" Ruth asked with a calm tone of voice. Houston watched but didn't say anything.

"I'm fine Ruth. I just had a bad dream that's all." I replied calmly. "Well this must be some nightmare. It caused you to sleep in a bit." Dad pointed out. "At least the doctor will tell us what's going on with you." Mom asserted. As I was getting my lunch ready, I looked outside. I can see that today was misty again. The mist came up to our windows. It was impossible to see what was going on out there. We had to stay close to the parents as we got outside. The air was pretty cold. Soon enough, we would get some snow. But that will be mentioned in the next story. I had gotten to sit in my usual seat. My siblings would sit down at their usual seats too. They wondered what I was dreaming about. They would be whispering to me. Only Houston and Ruth would think about the dream I had. "That's scary. I wouldn't want to see those two." Houston commented. "I don't think they were always like this. Fred, they were happy to see you, but now they changed." Ruth adduced. "That's true. Their minds were influenced by an epidemic. What happened to them now is a mystery to me." I revealed. During the car ride, I slept in my seat. I wanted to catch up on some sleep as we were getting closer to the school. It was all dark when I was sleeping. Then I noticed the setting changed. I had found myself in a hallway. This wasn't any hallway. It was a hallway that you would find in a hospital. I know what was going to be happening next. There was a lady that was crying in pain. I simply turned away from it. "You don't want to be chased by your real parents? I have only revealed the truth to you. That is what you've wanted ever since you've been getting dreams about your real parents." A deep voice informed me. The setting changed again. I found myself in front of my house. There were clouds of mist that had covered the whole road. There was a bit of mist that touched the tops of roofs at the same time. The air was cold. I was also wearing my autumn jacket at the same time. Then I started to think about the weather. I knew that I would be needing to be using a winter jacket soon enough. Then I heard the sound of a growl. This wasn't just any normal growl. It turns out to be the growling sound that came from a lion. I started to notice something that was moving in the mist on the road.

That's when I realized something. There was a lion that appeared on the road from the mist. Then I notice some features about it changing. There was something that quickly emerged onto its back. This greyish thing started to have some fur growing on its sides. There were some horns that emerged from near the back of the monster's head. Then I noticed the features of whatever that thing was. There was a nose and mouth that formed away from the set of two eyes on the big thing. I knew that the thing that appeared on the back of the lion was a goat's head. Then the lion's tail started to change. The tail had some greenish scales that started to appear. Then I could hear the sounds of something hissing. The end of the lion's tail morphed very fast. The end of the tail was facing me. I couldn't tell from far away, but there was a snake's head that appeared on the back of this creature. Then I noticed the hissing sound that was coming from the chimera was coming from the snake's head. The lion had an angry expression while it stared at me. I felt intimidated by that. "You're still going to punish me for learning about the truth?" I called out. The chimera lunged forward. It had its feet pounding the ground as it went to attack. The snake head and the goat head were staring at me while the creature charged at me. I dodged as I rolled on the grass. Then I wondered what I should do next. "I think that you should forget about your horrible memories. That way, I won't bother you with anymore nightmares." The mysterious deep voice explained. Then I could hear the sound of a car with its turn signal on. What was weird about that was it sounded like the sound was being played on a loud speaker system.
