I arrived at the Pines home at the same time as Candy and Grenda. I was dressed up as a flapper. The black dress was a bit big, only being just above my knee. The hat that came with the dress was perched on the side of my head, attached to a headband. Red lipstick and black one inch heels completed the look.
Mabel opened the door for the three of us. She hugged me tightly. Candy was dressed as a literal candy, and Grenda was a witch. I looked around for Dipper, hoping he was in costume as well. The two always went as a duo. Assuming that the theme was continuing, Dipper was going to be peanut butter to Mabel's jam costume.
"You already know, (Y/n). Grunkle Stan, these are my best friends. Candy and Grenda."
"I am so sweet, I could eat myself," Candy commented.
Grenda waved. "Hello, Mr. Pines."
"You got a cold, honey? Something wrong with your voice there?" Mr. Pines asked.
"What do you mean? Why would you say that?" Grenda questioned.
Mr. Pines flipped his cape and walked away.
"Is Waddles coming with us?" Candy asked.
"I wish he could, but he's got some very important meetings to attend." Mabel grinned.
Waddles ran into the room, wearing a suit as a costume. "File these documents under I, for I have a curly tail!"
"What about your brother?" Grenda asked.
"Dipper!" I called. "Almost ready? Trick-or-treating's starting soon!"
"Oh, man," Mabel said excitedly. "Guys, just wait until you see Dipper's costume. It's amazing!"
Dipper walked downstairs sheepishly. He wasn't wearing his costume.
"That is a very good Dipper costume," Candy commented.
"What the hey-hey, bro-bro? Where's your costume?" Mabel questioned.
"I don't know, Mabel," Dipper mumbled.
"Come on, love. Even Soos is dressing up," I pointed out.
Three loud knocks came from the door. Dipper opened it. He seemed kind of grumpy.
"Trick or treat."
"Dude, really? You're a little old for this, man. Sorry!"
"But, wait. I-"
Dipper slammed the door in the person's face.
"Why'd you close the door?" I asked, confused.
"I'm just not feeling it tonight," Dipper said.
"I think a little trick-or-treating will make you feel better." Mabel winked.
"I'm not trick-or-treating!" Dipper protested.
Three loud knocks. The same person.
"Look, man, just go to another house!" Dipper slammed the door again.
"Dipper!" Mabel scolded. "Where's your Summerween hospitality?"
Four knocks this time. What was with this guy?
"I'm not getting that," Dipper snapped.
"Well, I am!" Mabel shot back. She opened the door. "I apologize for my brother. He came down with a case of the grumpy-grumps."
"Silence!" the person shouted. "You have insulted me. And for this, you must pay with your lives!"
Mabel continued to smile. "Oh, what a cute little mask! You're a funny guy, aren't you?"
