Dad laughed. "Oh, this is just too perfect! Didn't you brainiacs know the zodiac doesn't work if you don't all hold hands? And what's better? You've brought every threat to my power in one easy to destroy circle!" Dad set the paint on fire, destroying the art.
He tied Ford and Stan up. "You guys want to see what happens to your friends when you can't get along?"
"Hey, give them back!" Fiddleford snapped.
"You've gone too far, Cipher," Gideon commented.
"Yeah, we're not scared of you," Wendy agreed.
"Oh, but you should be."
With a snap of Dad's fingers, their eyes rolled into the back of their head. He left Dipper, Mabel, and me. I tried to reverse it as they floated up, but Dad was too powerful. I looked at Lyric with disbelief in my eyes. She didn't deserve this. None of them deserved to be roped into this. "You know, this castle could really use some decoration!"
Dad turned them into tapestries.
"Let them go!" I screamed, but my words were ignored.
"Looks like it's too late for your friends, Stanford!" Dad tied me up and brought me over, leaving the twins to be locked up in a pyramid.
"Kids!" Stan exclaimed in desperation.
"But you can still save your family," Dad reasoned. "Last chance. Tell me how to take Weirdmageddon global and I'll spare the kids."
"No, don't do it!" Dipper protested.
"Yeah! Bill makes bad deals!" Mabel agreed.
"Don't you toy with me, shooting star!" Bill snapped. "I see everything-" Mabel sprayed him in the eye with a spray paint can. "Ow, not again! Why, every time?"
"Nice shot, pumpkin!" Stan commented as the ropes unraveled.
"I'll take it from here." I transformed into my shape form and punched Dad hard.
Dipper enlarged the pyramid prison with the flashlight. "Save yourselves! Run! We'll take care of Bill."
Dad strangled me and put me in the prison. "You shouldn't hurt family like that, dreamer. I was trying to keep you safe by putting you in that fantasy world. But I guess you just don't want to listen to your old man, huh?"
"Hey, Bill!" Mabel called. "Come and get us, you pointy jerk!"
"No, guys!" I protested, changing back into my human form.
Stan and Ford were forced into the prison as well by Bill. "You two wait here. I've got some children I need to make into corpses!"
"No, no, no!" Stan protested. "Oh, what do we do? What do we do? I can't believe this. The kids are going to die, and it's all my fault. Because I couldn't shake your stupid hand. Dad was right about me. I am a screw up."
"Don't blame yourself," Ford reasoned. "I'm the one that made the deal with Bill in the first place. I fell for all his easy flattery. You would have seen him for the scam artist he is."
"I think there's a way," I piped up, making the twins look at me. "Dad's weak in the mindspace. Like me. Stan knows that if we use the memory gun, we can erase Bill when he's inside."
"Well, what if he goes into my mind?" Stan reasoned. "My brain isn't good for anything."
"Exactly. And then I go in there, with Stan's agreement, and I can protect his mind completely," I explained.
"Wouldn't that mean you would be erased too?" Stan asked. "Dipper needs you, (Y/n)."
My lips pursed. "It's a risk I'm willing to take. Dipper will be okay if it means I'm the reason the universe isn't destroyed. I was never meant to be born in the first place. Maybe my only purpose will be to stop Dad."
