Gideon Bassey has always kept his eyes on Danielle-Grace and she could feel it. Although each time she turns to him their eyes will always get locked. It would sometimes leave a good feeling all over her body, warming her heart.

Sometimes it's effect will be thwarted by her inner fears that it could be just her imaginations. Their last conversation left an imprint on her mind, especially with the part were he had called her "Dani".

It has left her wondering alot why he has refused to give her a divorce. To be honest though deep within her she was grateful to God that he had turned her down. A positive response would have broken her beyond recovery.

Gideon was the love of her life, her regret was the way she went about it. But through and through she has always loved him. At some point in the far past she once thought that Mirabel's death was an opportunity to become his.

She had repented repeatedly to God for having such thought. No matter how deep she thought her feelings were and are towards him she definitely would have found a man who loves her just as much as she desires to be loved.

Life continued in their marriage but there was something different. They weren't as distant as they were before. Some kind of feeling was in-between them but they couldn't give it a name.

They have come to a phase yet to be defined. Arlo was their constant connection. Whenever he was with any of them the other will try to be around.

Gideon was fond of doing this each time she was attending to their son. She enjoyed it but his constant attention subtly was on her.

She made up her mind to continue enjoying it as long as it lasted. The same negative nudging thought came up again, but a silent positive one came up.

She wasn't going to deny herself this level of attention she was receiving from her husband. She was going to enjoy this to the fullest and nothing would discourage her from it.

Gideon has been fighting the strong feeling he has been having since their last "outburst" of emotions.

He was beginning to see his wife in a different light.

The more he spent these little moments with her, the more he is determined not to let her go.

He was in love with her but he can't place when it started or how it began.

But he just knew for a certain that her demand for a divorce had shaken him to the core of his emotions.

Mirabel will always be a part of their lives essentially his. But Danielle is now his present and future, he wouldn't be able to do with her.

Arlo was their flesh and blood, the gift of GOD to their marriage.

He was the strong bond currently in their marriage at least for now. But he was determined to ensure his marriage remained intact.

That very evening he was prepared to have a proper conversation with his dearest Dani, his wife. A heart to heart conversation was needed.

He decided to send her a message requesting for a date. He had read, reread and deleted a few until he settled for a very simple one.

When Danielle-Grace received the SMS she was busy picking groceries at her favourite store. At the counter already to pay and leave she decided to read it later.

One thing led to another and she completely forgot to check her phone.
When her husband had sent in the message it was in the afternoon at about 3:00pm.

Her silence and receiving no response from her end dampened his already fragile courage. When he had gotten home he felt like asking her outrightly if she got the message but thought it wise to let it be.

And ask about her day instead, which he was glad to have done so. Because she literally lighted up and told him all about her day and Arlo's inclusive.

Once it was bedtime they both laid Arlo to bed before leaving for theirs. Ready to go to bed alone on time Danielle-Grace was surprised to see her husband adjusting his pillow to sleep at the same with her.

Tenderly in a tired voice he appreciated her for every effort she has put into their marriage and their baby's growth.

Summoning up courage he came closer to her and gave her a slight but felt full kiss on her cheek. It was very close to her lips. Before telling her goodnight in a whisper.

The following morning he woke up alone on the bed as usual because she always woke up early to prepare him breakfast and lunch for work.

After having a warm shower and his quiet time with God, he dressed up choosing to wear a much casual outfit since it was Friday.

He had a different disposition that was positive and more determined to woo his wife.

Once he was downstairs he wasn't prepared for what was about to happen. He was confronted by his wife in an emotional but forward question.

The previous night Danielle-Grace couldn't sleep properly reason because her husband had done three unexpected things to her.

*He had appreciated her in the most loving way ever.
*He had told her goodnight, but the most cherished of them all was the kiss.

It had left her breathless and confused. This wouldn't be their first kiss but it felt different.

It felt more real and deep than any other kiss they have had in the past.

She had to remove herself from their bedroom to get herself back. To keep her mind distracted she had decided to scroll through her phone.

This brought her to the unread message from her husband.

It was a simple and straight to the point one but it got her confused,a little bit distressed that he didn't mention it when he came back.

"Dearest Dani, my wife would you dine with me tonight outside our home."

It was a date request, obviously her husband had asked her on a date.

Quickly she had gone back into their bedroom to demand an answer to her questions but he was already at sleep.

She was indeed full of emotions but they were of love for her husband. It was clear to her now that she didn't want the divorce anymore she was ready to build their marriage.

Back to where they were what Danielle wasn't expecting was the feeling of her husband's lips on hers, planting a tender but firm kiss.

Danielle yielded to his embrace as they both kissed passionately.
