Side Story 1: An Idol's Duty

A/n: Neo Aqours in this is basically just Aqours but you're the leader instead of Chika.

"Your supposed to meet with your idol club, right N/n?" Izumi asked as I nodded, "I'm the final member they recruited for the new Neo Aqours. Today is our final practive before our concert on opening night for Romeo and Julius." My face was all smiles as I left the dorms to go to my school, but I had a sneaking suspicion that she followed me with Sakuya's troupe, watching as I met up with You and Riko. "Hey girls!" They smiled and ran up to me, "Have you finished the lyrics yet?" Riko asked to which I help out a stack of papers, "I had a feeling you would ask that so I wrote down a lot of ideas." She smiled as we headed up to the roof to practice and did a run through of Aozora Jumping Heart, our first song that we were performing live and at out school with all the girls. "Five six seven eight, one two three four! Riko pick up the pace a little, and Ruby slow down a little so you're movement is more even!" Kanan told them as they practiced, "And scene!" They struck their ending pose while covere din sweat, "I think we did great!" Ruby called as Hanamaru agreed along with Yoshiko, "Yeah me were on point today zura!" 

Everyone was smiling and more importantly, the boys finally got to see me in action outside of just helping choreography at the theatre, being a school idol which was one of my passions. "Let's work on our timing next guys, we have to practice our other song for our upcoming performance at the open house." They were surprised I remembered that given I was awful with dates but I huffed, "I can remember one of the most important dates of the month at the very least!" 

[They perform the song above later that day]

"I feel that future can change, come on join sing with today! Come on let's get going to future and, our big dreams!!" They sang as they started performing, all the girls who were watching in the audience cheering their hearts off for them, "Come sing and dance, enjoy life with us as we shine~. We feel that the future will change, come and dance with us. We will shine bright~!" They finished as they struck their ending pose. "Ahhhh!!!!! Aqours!!!" Girls yelled as they stood up and bowed, "Thank you for coming everyone, we hope you enjoyed!" The lights went down and they scattered from backstage after changing though it was very apparent, to Izumi and the guys that Y/n did not like socializing with her newer fans and preferred spending time with the rest of the girls and Mutu + her friends. "I thought I saw Y/n over here?" One of her fans asked as she ducked away and jumped over a ledge while following Riko and You. "Oh, I should get going back to the dorm. Izumi must be worried sick." 

Riko and You walked home with her but they all laughed along the way, "Good night guys." She walked into the dorm and waved goodbye to them, going to bed as Izumi and the boys snuck in quietly after her. "Wow, she's really good at performing." Sakuya commented as Izumi nodded, "If she wanted to, she'd be an amazing actress but she prefers to sing." She smiled, "She wanted to do something after seeing another idol group when she went shopping one day, and now she wants to inspire others the same way." Izumi gave them another smile that caused them to blush, "She's why I kept going at theatre for so long until I stopped because I realized I wasn't good." Y/n looked down at them from the top of the stairs and smiled to herself when remembering, what she told Izumi after becoming an idol, "An idol's duty is to bring happiness and spread inspiration to others. So they can realize their dreams too."
