[Before anyone comments "Sokka wouldn't act like this!" Firstly I think he would act similar to this towards a firebender on the team in the beginning. But regardless they aren't gonna act the same as canon as I didn't create their canon selves so I don't how to write them canon. I can only make them similar to canon with a few personal choice tweaks to their personality. Anywho with that out of the way enjoy!]

After flying for the rest of the day away from the South Water Tribe, we had finally found land that we could sleep on for the night.

Aari: "Appa land there." She told the bison who with a yawn like noise slowly descended to the ground.

Sokka: "Is this where we're gonna sleep? It's in the middle of nowhere!" He yelled rather loudly.

I swear dropped before responding.

Me: "Sokka your entire home comprised of snow, not to mention your city was about eleven igloos. You should be used to sleeping in the middle of nowhere... no offense guys." I say adding the last bit on realizing how insensitive it sounded.

Sokka grumbled a bit, "Firstly I still don't know how I feel about you!" He exclaims jabbing his right pointer finger towards me.

I roll my eyes and lean back onto the guard of the saddle.

Sokka: "Second of all aren't you even slightly uncomfortable with this, I mean you lived in the Fure Nation and seemed to have a good with relationship with that Firebending chick... that is until you betrayed her and the Fire Nation for a couple of people you didn't even know." He says.

Katara: "Sokka!" She yells.

I frowned at the reminder of the current situation with Zuki and I.

I cut Katara off before she reprimanded Sokka for his sentence.

Me: "It's fine Katara all he said was facts, and to answer you Sokka while this may not be an ideal living situation it's fine. I for one enjoy nature and this isn't the first time I've lived in the wild. Sometimes I prefer to get away from cities." I replied resting my head onto the guard I'm leaning against.

I could feel the three wanting to ask questions but much to my gratitude decided not to.

Katara: "Well let's set up camp for the night, Ryan can you get a fire going? Sokka help him while Aari and I set up the sleeping bags." As she said this she slid off of Appa with Aari starting toss her the rolled up bags.

I stood up and gestured my head towards the forest and hopped off. Sokka grumbled clearly not happy with being paired up with me.

As we trudged off into the woods Sokka hit each branch with a stick he picked up.

He kept grumbling under his breath some rather less than nice things about me.

Sokka: "Man! Why does Katara stick me with the shifty Firebender!!" He complains.

Finally fed up with his shit I spoke, "Explain how I'm shifty?! If anything the one who she be complaining is me! I mean I get stuck with an unfair bastard." I shot back glaring.

He stopped moving and turned on his heels glaring at me. I looked up to meet his eyes, he stood at a rather imposing 6'5. He would've actually been intimidating if he was wasn't scrawnier than the stick in his hand.

Sokka: "Firstly you showed up with the people who attacked my village! You suddenly join our side despite apparently being close with that girl! You just so happen to be a 'new' avatar, and get along incredibly well with Katara and Aari who of which you never met. Then there is your already set plans to travel with Aari to the North Pole to learn waterbending and then travel to the Earth Kingdom for Earthbending. You talk about these plans as if you already thought them out, despite the fact you only recently met Aari and learned she only knew airbending. There are just too many stuff that doesn't add up, including why? What is your reasoning for turning against your home, your people! So yeah your shifty, and I'll find out what your hiding." He answers scooping up some firewood before turning around and walking back to the campsite. "I'll be keeping my eyes on you Ryan, if that even is your real name. One wrong move and I'll end you myself." He says before leaving me there alone.
