SAWYER
Waking up to someone banging at your door is one of the worst possible things. Especially after a perfect date night.
But I guess labour doesn't wait for you to enjoy the after effects of a perfect night.
If the loud banging and Forrest's frantic voice didn't wake us up Morgan's pained screams would've done the job.
"The two of you get the fuck up! I need help!"
Noah groaned as she sat up from my chest, I had been slightly awake before Forrest started banging on the door.
"Morgan's gone into labour?"
"Yeah." I smiled and kissed her cheek while she rubbed her eyes.
She was too cut—Morgan screamed again.
"I'm going to go help Forrest." I whispered into her cheek.
"Hmm... give me a minute." Noah sighed.
When I opened the door the abnormally small rabbit ran into the room, talking Noah. Well more like jumping on her.
Forrest was breathing heavily and had sweat right through his shirt. Morgan was on the couch in the living room, her shirt lifted a bit while Forrest panicked beside her, chewing into his nail beds.
"Have you called the ambulance?"
Forrest blinked, then his eyes widened slowly. "Oh fuck I haven't!"
Then he ran to his phone.
Morgan groaned loudly as another contraction hit.
"Have you been timing them?" I asked softly.
She was breathing heavily and tears streaming down her face. "No... I—oh god Sawyer it hurts."
I lay my hand on her stomach. "When did it start?"
"Like an hour ago."
I nodded. "You'll be fine Morgan."
"Okay! The ambulance is five minutes away, they were in the area so they said they'd get here immediately an—"
"Calm down Forrest." Noah sighed, the rabbit on her shoulder while she touched his shoulder.
Morgan was uncharacteristically silent. Except when a contraction would hit. I timed them and rattled off to the paramedics when the ambulance arrived.
"Are all of you coming?"
"No just her and the father, we'll follow later."
The paramedic nodded and led a screaming Morgan and a skittish Forrest into the car.
"I'm gonna call my dad and brothers. Take a shower while I do that?"
"Sure." Noah smiled and put the rabbit on my lap.
As I dialled my dad's number I tilted my head at the little furball.
"Sawyer?" Dad croaked, it was three am so I must've woke him up.
"Morgan has gone into labour, If you're with the boys tell them please."
Something fell and Dad groaned. "Sure are you and Noah there?"
"No but we'll be there soon, get there as fast as you can, Forrest is freaking out."
"Sure, I'll see you later Saw."
I rolled my eyes while petting the rabbit. "Sure Dad, see you later."
When Noah came out of her room still towel drying her hair I groaned.
