"This love for you I can't ignore

I try to run but I just can't hide, no, no

Girl, I put my trust in youI'm not afraid of what my boys might say

'Cause I know that my love is reallll"

Denver sang to the top of her lungs as she rode through the streets of Atlanta. She'd made her day at work and now she was on the way to the grocery store to pick up dinner. Her fiancé had called her on her lunch break to ask if she would cook salmon tonight. She wanted to say no so bad, but she decided against having another argument tonight. Semaj, her fiancé, expected to eat salmon at least four times a week and Denver was fed up with it. She found it comical, but a pain in the ass that she had to either make two different meals every night or pick up something for herself on the nights she chose to opt out of the salmon meals.

Pulling into the parking lot of Kroger, she parked her Mercedes all the way towards the end. She had a love/hate relationship with parking in the closer spots since the last time she did, someone had swung their door open so far they dented in her backseat passenger door. Now, she just preferred to park in the back and take the extra steps. Hell, she needed them anyways.

Denver stood at about 5 feet 10 inches tall, and she was far from skinny. Two hundred and fifty pounds of juicy flesh covered her skeleton and there was never a lack of curves. High cheeks bones graced her chunky face and she had one of the most beautiful smiles a girl could ever ask for. Genetics were the blame, she was a spitting image of her mother. Althea was a few shades lighter than her child, but the resemblance could never be mistaken. Denver inherited her complexion from her father, Saint, they were both dark chocolate and proud of it.

Denver's pumps hit the asphalt with determination, she was determined to get whatever it was that she needed and get the hell on. She had a habit of taking too long in the grocery story picking up extra ass items she didn't need.

"Hello, how are you" the teenage boy spoke as she entered through the sliding doors. Denver smiled and returned the greeting as she grabbed grocery basket. Walking pass the boy, he shamelessly watched her ass as she strutted into the store.

Making her way straight into the seafood department, she asked the guy that was behind the counter to cut her 6 pieces of the salmon. Wasting no time, the guy started on his task and finished by wrapping it in the plastic cling wrap. She made her way to the produce section to grab some baby red potatoes and a pack of fresh asparagus. Thankful that she had everything else she could need at the house, she headed for the self-checkout.

Choosing to walk down the candy aisle on her way may have been a miscalculated step, but she didn't hesitate to pick up some M&Ms along with a Mr.Goodbar. After all, she was expecting her cycle soon, a little chocolate wouldn't hurt anybody. Yeah right she thought to herself.

Turning to make her way off of the aisle, Denver collided with a chest, a nice strong chest if she should say so.

"I am so sorry" she apologized as she looked up into the eyes of what she would rather be eating for dinner tonight. Fiancé bitch, did you forget about your fiancé?

"It's all good love, that was my mistake" He smiled showing maybe one of the best sets of teeth she'd ever seen.

Taking him in, Denver noticed him in what looked to be his work uniform. King's Auto Shop was stitched on the top right pocket of his shirt, while the letter CJ  were stitched on the opposite side. He drunk in her appearance as he looked down onto her short stature, yams yams yams he thought to himself.
