That same day...

"Sir I'm gonna have to ask you to stay behind the yellow tape" The officer said as he stopped CJ from crossing the line.

CJ had come by like he'd done the previous times to bring Denver lunch only to find the building completely surrounded by police cars, an ambulance, as well as a fire truck. His heart was pounding as he tried his best to look into the crowd of first responders for Denver, but he couldn't spot her.

"This is my girlfriend's building, what the hell happened?"

"Someone came and shot the place up" One of the onlookers responded next to him

CJ frowned and rushed under the tape, he ran towards the door as he heard the policeman trying to catch up with him. Once he was near the entrance, he got a better look at how much damage was caused to the boutique. Glass was everywhere and from what he could see, the store was wrecked with bullets holes and destroyed apparel. A few mannequins were shot up and destroyed as well, but the only thing that was on his mind was the well-being of Denver.

"Denver!!" He yelled as he pushed his way through the store. She stood up from in front of the EMT and revealed herself to him. She was unscathed, not even a piece of hair was out of place. She walked towards him with tears in her eyes and fell into his arms

"Shh baby I'm right here, what happened"

"Somebody ruined my store! I worked so hard for this shit and they destroyed it"

Officers and crime scene investigators walked back and forth inside the building collecting evidence. The yellow tagged numbers were all over the boutique, it was so many bullet holes in the place that Denver had lost count. She was still hurt, but livid was the better adjective to describe her current feelings.

"You installed the new system though, have you looked at the cameras" She nodded her head. "Yes, but I've never seen those men a day in my life" She pulled up the app installed on her phone and showed him the videos. As CJ watched he clenched his jaws tighter and tighter, it didnt take a rocket scientist to know who the fuck did this shit. Like the cartel, the men hopped out one by one drawing their guns. They didnt care who or what was in site, they just let the rounds off until their clips were empty. And then the three of them got back into the car and pulled off like it was nothing.

CJ had seen one of the men before, and he wasn't a man who believe in coincidences like this. He'd never forget the face of Veronica's hot headed ass cousin, he ran his mouth too damn much and CJ never liked him. Veronica knew he was the perfect young dumb individual to do a job like this, but whether she knew it or not she'd sealed her cousin's fate. CJ wasn't going to make any noise, or even let Veronica know that he knew who it was. All he needed to do was make one phone call and the deed would be done, and about Denver he would take it there with anyone.

"CJ did you hear me?"

"Uhh yeah yeah, go ahead and handle ya business baby" He didnt have to ask about the safety of the other women, because he could see the two of them with his own eyes.

Raven was standing behind the register with a stressed out look on her face, while Diana just looked plain ole horrified. She'd never been in anything like this, but she was definitely quick on her feet when it happened. The police had found the stolen car a few blocks away, but had gotten positive ID's on all three of the men. CJ was just hoping that his cousin would get to them before the police did.

CJ's cousin Dominick was very skilled at what he did, he was a contract killer and could make anything look like an accident. He did million dollar work and was definitely paid billion dollar money. He and CJ were first and favorite cousins, they were always there for one another.
