Waking up, I sat myself up from my bed with a smile on my face. Ready to start the day.I was in an amazing mood.
I felt like a brand new man. Also, I was just excited in general today. So, I had woken up really early that morning. Before the sun came out kind of early. Because this wasn't just regular day. Today was actually when they would announce who the validictorians were. Graduation was just a week away. It went by so fast. I didn't even realize it came so soon. I was... So distracted with tutoring, trying to be with Carmen at every moment, and etc. That I didn't notice that I was actually able to graduate college. That I actually had a chance to become validictorian.
So, I just quietly sat at my desk and waited for the time to come that my E-mail would he sent. When it did, I sucked in a nervous breath. I pondered heavily whether I should open it or not. What if I didn't get it? Should I save myself from the rejection? It's just... A stupid validictorian, right? It's not a big deal, right? So, I should open it. And if I get rejected, I'll just laugh it off like it blew away with the wind.
Opening the E-mail as I sucked in a sharp breath, immediately cringing before I even actually read it. However, as I looked through the names that were listed, I saw that my name was included. Naming Adam Campbell as a validictorian.
"WHOO!" I shouted, getting up from my seat. "THAT'S HOW YOU DO IT, BAAABY!"
Jordy's eyes widened, waking up immediately as if there was a fire in the building. Sitting himself up quickly. "What!? What happened!?"
It was like looking at a completely different person for Jordy. In all our very many years together, Jordy's literally never seen me so excitedly wake up so early. And be happy about it.
When I saw my roommate had finally woken up. I smirked at him with a proud look. "Goodmorning!" I greeted cheesily as I sat myself down on his bed.
"It's 5AM..." Jordy groaned tiredly.
I completely ignored him. "You are seeing the freshest face of..." I hummed out. "... Validictorian!"
Jordy's eyes widened even more after a moment, as if it took awhile for the news to fully register. "No way." he said in disbelief. Then, grabbing onto my shoulders and vigourously started to shake me. "No fucking way!"
"I did it! I'm fucking validictorian!" I laughed out in disbelief at my own success, shaking Jordy back just as vigourously from all my excitement. However, with my long arms and strength, I accidentally shoved him off the bed. "Oh, shit."
'Gah!' Jordy let out as he fell, rubbing the back of his head.
The blonde looked at me with a glare. "I'm not gonna say I miss when you were quiet around this time of day, but..." he joked with a huff. "I'm sooo proud of you, man."
"Don't even say that to me right now." I scolded with a smile. "I am so happy right now."
"Right now, huh?" Jordy asked with a smile. "Can you be so happy back at around say... 9AM? Ah-!" he was pushed down by the force of a pillow being aggressively thrown at his face. By me.
Later on during the day, classes were over. I didn't have any work since it was so close to graduation, and me and Jordy needed to focus on that. Even if I was so distracted just by the fact that my life was awesome. I got the guy. The guy got me. I got validictorian. I was walking with Jordy down the hall, my shoulders slumping with a heavy backpack resting against them.
Jordy smiled over to me. "Carmen told me to drag you to this graduation party later tonight." He admitted to me suddenly. "It's just gonna be the four of us going together."
