9. Mission to the Land of Waves!

"Sasuke, in point B."

"Sakura, point C."

"Naruto, at point A. Believe it!"

"Kiamie, point D."

"A little slow Naruto. Target has moved!"

We all moved with the trees, following the target as best we could. I sighed. We were on yet another rescue mission.

"How far are you guys from the target?"

"About five meters away."

"I'm ready just give me the signal."

"I'm ready too."

"So am I."

"I'm ready as well."

"Ok..... Now!"

Naruto jumped out, grabbing the cat.
I could clearly see that the cat had a strong disliking to Naruto. I laughed as it clawed at his face.

"That's definitely the cat. It's got the red ribbon and everything!" I pet the cat and it immediately calmed down.
"Woah! Kiamie's the cat whisperer."

Naruto shoved the cat into my hands.
I pet it, and it slowly fell asleep in my arms.

I watched as this weird fat lady literally squashed the cat. It was horrific.
"Haha stupid cat deserves it!" Naruto said laughing. I hit him in the head.

"No animal deserves to be squashed!!"
He rubbed his head and mumbled,
"Sorry Kiamie..." I smiled and watched the lady leave. Then we listened to the Hokage read off a lists of tasks, which sounded more like chores.

"If I had known that all ninjas did was chores, I wouldn't have signed up for this." I crossed my arms. I didn't know that picking potatoes was a 'dangerous job.'

"I don't want to do chores! I want to go on a real mission!" Naruto had his hands in an x shape. I nodded.

"I agree! These are all chores that people are too lazy to do!"

Then Iruka went off on us. I ignored him. Kakashi hit Naruto in the head, and I tried not to laugh. The Hokage began to talk about missions and such, but Naruto and I sat on the floor and talked about ramen the whole time.

"I'm thinking Miso-Ramen today-"

"Silence!" Naruto and I looked at him.
"We are not little kids anymore! We want a real mission!" We said in unison. We faced away from him.

Then the Hokage actually started laughing at us. "If Naruto and Kiamie want to show me that they aren't the same kids from the Academy, so be it. I'm going to give you a C rank mission."
I smiled.

"I told you it would work!"

They all sweat dropped. Naruto high fived me. "You'll be body guards on a journey." Naruto and I jumped up. Body guards? That's awesome! Will we escort a lord? Or maybe even a princess! Please be a mermaid!

"Send in the visitor." The door opened and a half drunk man stood in the doorway drinking sake straight from the bottle. I sighed. No princess or lord to escort today...just a drunk.

"A bunk of little kids? And you, the short idiotic looking one, are you even a ninja?" Naruto laughed and looked at the three of us.
"Who's the short idiotic looking-"
Realization hit.

Naruto was in fact the shortest. We all stood in a row. The tallest was Sasuke, then Sakura, then me, and lastly Naruto. I laughed.

"You set yourself up for that one!"
Kakashi held Naruto back from destroying him. "Silly Naruto, you can't destroy the client!" I said.
