— is it just dangerous or does it involve the bad guys? —
The pain was too sharp and too intense, coming all of a sudden, it made Earth lose his balance, and when his knees collapsed and he fell down, that was when the pain got even bigger. The knife that was stuck in between Earth's ribs was suddenly out, and the blood poured out of his body as if it was waiting just for this—to finally leave him dry and empty.
Earth couldn't glance up for more than a brief second and his eyes were hazed with pain so he wasn't even sure that what he saw was real or not. The man—at that moment, Earth couldn't even remember what was the man's name, his mind was blank, all he could focus on was pain consuming his body and his hands being wet from hot blood pouring out of him—but the man, he just stood there and then without any word he brought the knife to his neck and slid it open. His eyes were still staring blankly into the world when he fell right next to Earth, body shaking as the red liquid was gushing out of his neck, painting everything around in horror.
Earth rolled on his back, trying to calm his breathing. This wasn't supposed to happen. This fucking wasn't supposed to happen! Why was the mafia suddenly after The Fire Dragon? Or it was him? No, it couldn't be just him.
"Earth!"
That voice—Earth knew that voice. It was—"
Mix's face appeared right above him, a warm hand touched his cheek and the other pressed on his wound.
"Hey..." Earth mumbled.
"Ambulance is on its way," Mix quickly said. "Just stay still and keep talking to me. You'll be fine. And no more fights with mafia guys—what kind of stupid idea was that?!"
Mix kept talking, but Earth couldn't hear anything besides 'ambulance is on its way' No! Ambulance can't come to his club! It would ruin everything! They would have too many questions. And Earth wouldn't have enough answers and no no no, just no!
"No... ambulance."
Mix nodded, holding Earth's head in his lap, "I know, I know that no ambulance, but this one is safe, I promise. I'll explain everything once they patch you up. But for now, you have to trust me."
"Something—something is going on," Earth murmured and quizzed his eyes in a sharp pain that cut right through every fibre of his body.
Frowning, Mix nodded, "yeah, something definitely is going on here."

When Earth woke up his body ached more than ever before after a fight. Squirting his eyes, he slowly realized that he was in the hospital and Joe was sitting right next to him asleep—some random magazine slowly slipping out of his hands. But Earth was more focused on what was happening outside of the room. The doors were slightly ajar allowing Mix's melodic voice to come in. He was talking to some other man, their voices were muffled so Earth couldn't really make out all their words, but it seemed that the other man was the one who got Earth here with the ambulance.
