Earth had to be dreaming or hallucinating or something of that sort.

That was the only way he could explain what was happening right in front of him. His father. Moved? He got out of bed? Yes, he was currently down on the floor which most likely meant that he had fallen, but still, in order to fall, he had to move, and not just a flinch of a finger or a spasm of a muscle. This was different. His father had to move, really move his entire body to get to the point of falling.

And... and was it just another hallucination, or did Earth really hear his father calling his name?

Just when Earth was starting to entertain the possibility that he might have fallen asleep during the call with Mix, and all of this was just a hopeful dream, he heard his name again.

"Pirapat. Come on! Won't you help your father? You don't want me to rot down here the entire night, do you?"

Earth let out a surprised laugh and immediately ran up to his father. Putting his hands around his father, he slowly helped him stand up and get back to bed. His father could even stand up. This was... almost like a miracle.

Earth couldn't stop looking at his father. It all just didn't make any sense. Just days ago, the doctors said that his father was getting worse; that he would never get better and now? Now, he is moving, talking, even smiling at Earth.

Impossible.

Just impossible.

"You..." Earth stared, but he didn't know what to say. What he even felt or thought. "You are... you... moving."

Earth's father nodded with a small smile, "it seems like it."

"But you couldn't... they said... you won't... you..." Earth ran his hand through his hair, taking a deep breath. He had to sit down. There was an armchair in the corner of the room. It used to be Earth's favourite place to sit when he was still a child. Sitting down, he looked at his father and then, suddenly he jumped out of the armchair, sitting there only for a couple of seconds. "I'll be right back I have to uhm... yeah, I'll be right back."

Earth ran across the flat back to the laptop in the living room which still had Mix's beautiful face displayed right on it. He was finishing up his dinner, but his shoulders were tense and he almost looked as if the food he ate wasn't tasty at all. But the food wasn't the problem, Earth knew that. It was the fact that he had left after hearing a strange noise and came back only now... Earth didn't even know how much time had passed. But clearly, it was enough to make Mix pretty restless.

When Earth appeared on the screen, Mix dropped the fork he was holding, its sound click-clacking on the porcelain plate.

"Thank god," Mix let out a relieved sigh. "I was so worried. Where were you so long and why... why are you so happy? Is... your father okay?"
