"What is Lee doing there with the mafia?" Earth murmured under his breath, watching the scene at the grave from behind the fence.

Lee was looking down as if talking to someone on the ground. At first, Earth didn't notice him. Maybe it was his clothes—dark, gloomy—matching with the atmosphere of the cemetery or maybe it was the fact that he was squatted down almost as if he was kneeling, but when he finally stood up, Earth couldn't believe that he didn't notice him before.

The mob boss.

There were fresh flowers on Mix's parents' grave and maybe it shouldn't be that surprising to Earth that Mix's mother's own brother came to leave flowers on her grave, but it was. Earth questioned how it must felt to put the flowers on the grave that held the person you cared about, but also the person you killed. Did it even mean anything to the guy? Did he once think about how he hurt the person he cared about by killing the person she loved?

Earth shook his head, almost laughing at himself. Of course, that guy didn't! He was a mob boss—Earth couldn't expect him to have basic human emotions.

But, there was also Lee. What was he doing there? Why was he talking to the mafia so casually as if it was something he did all the time? He couldn't be doing this all the time, could he?

Was he the one Earth was looking for? Was Earth right to entertain the possibility that Lee could poison his drink? Did Lee kill Mix's mother?

Earth turned back to his father, "dad, what is Lee doing there with the mafia?" he asked again.

"Where else should he be if not with those closest to him?" Just when Earth's father said those words, the sound of a gunshot cut through the air, freezing the world for a moment.

It was Earth's father who moved first. He looked at the place where Lee stood just seconds ago, but Lee was gone.

No, not gone.

"Son..."

Earth finally forced himself to look there as well. Just like before, the mob boss, now it was Lee who was down, but he wasn't squatting nor was he kneeling. No, lying dead, face down on the grave, his blood was already starting to paint the scene in red.

Earth wanted to leave. Wanted to be as far away as possible from that evil with the gun in his hand still hot from the fire. Wanted to protect his father now when he had him back. Wanted to leave the country just like Mix did so that that nightmare would end. Too many people died. Too many.

But before he could take his father's hand and help him back to the car he heard his name.

"Earth... you are welcome," the mob boss said. There was not an ounce of ridicule in his voice. He was dead serious. "I must say I hoped that you'd find who killed my sister sooner than I but... looks like all it took was one fortunate meeting."
